I've always been curious about the similarity between the AT&T Logo and the geosphere design of the pavilion. I've never read that the pavilion design was based on the AT&T logo. And, I don't remember if the familiar AT&T logo existed prior to 1982.

Does anyone know which came first? Or is the fact that the pavilion looks like their logo just a coincidence?

Are there any potential sponsers out there that have a spherical logo? Perhaps these folks could come up with the money to be a sponser.
