WDW alone at 19 - any tips please

Has anyone done WDW by themselves? I am worried that I wont have as much fun by myself as I will have no one to share my experiences with. I am also worried because of my age. When I get there I will have only just turned 19!

I haven't done Disney alone, but I have done some fairly lengthy travelling alone and while you lose some things in not having someone to "share" things with I have found you also gain by not having to plan around someone else's whims. Maybe you could see if anyone is looking for people to share an "illuminations cruise", it would give you a chance to meet up with some fellow DISers and chat to about what you've been doing on your trip. I've found that the people we've shared with in the past have always been happy to talk and socialise in those situations (8-10 of you on a small boat it's kinda hard not to mix lol)

There's a "singles board" on this site again if you wanted to meet up with a few people for a day/afternoon/meal you could probably find a few people that are in a similar situation to yourself.

I think a lot depends on the time your planning to spend there and what you like doing. I could easily spend all day in AK or SW on my own and have a great time, but I'm not so sure that would be as easy at MK, MGM, USF or IOA. The one thing I did find pretty soulless travelling alone is eating out. It doesn't matter so much if your grabbing a quick snack at a counter service place, but for sitting down at a full service place it really takes the edge off things. Again maybe the singles board would be useful I'm sure that there are people that would enjoy company over dinner once in a while, even if you don't need/want to be in each others company for the whole day.
