Just got back a few hours ago... can't believe we were there at the same time as the famous Delswife gang! Even saw them at the Flag Cermony they have pics online! Oh well, we had our own fun.

So, as usuall we started out planning a trip down for 4. And ended up with about 9 or 11 of us going. Why don't I know? Well, we had 2 condo units rented and had the "big" kids stay at the one and we stayed at the other... a great idea. We got to do what we wanted with out the " oh, yuck" when ever we held hands and they did , well , what ever they did... I think it was eat cheap Raman noodles, play Kindgom Hearts 2 and try to wake up and get to the parks at a reasonable hour! We mostly saw the college kids when DS,aka PonyBoy, wanted $$ , food, or info. Or his cutey pie GF made him spend time with us! For the last 2-3 years we have taked him , and all his friends that could come, and our other DS down as soon as school is out. So this year the floating number included 5 of us as full time Park Hoppers. 1 all most full time, 2 extra guys, 1 PG invisable female, 1 CM friend ( worked AK on the Safari, nice guy!) and assorted other friends that were there or work as CMs at the parks.
Now this really is not important, but we got a late start on the Fri we left. So we missed the usuall Harley Shop hop. We only live 6 hours, 11 min, when I drive... or if TB(Teflon Bob, more latter...) drives it is about 1 to 3 hours longer. We have to stop and pee some place, right? And then get a drink, and then stop... well you all know how that is. But this time we got there in only 7 hours!, so we pulled into Cypress Point about 8:30pm . Got the room. Unpacked. Yea! Early bed for an early start!

Well, no.
Did I mention we had college kids, and teenagers with us?

So Sat, at the crack of 10 am we rolled over to SOG to get tickets. And asked if we got the 10 MYW +,PH, NX, if we could up grade them to PAP latter? Were told, Yes, no prob. Rember this...

Went to AK. Got there by noon. This is seriously late for TB and I. But that was ok as I had only taked the young one (ok,he is almost 15...) into EE while we were at Disneyland a few weeks ago. I bribed him, money worked when tears, pleads and threats didn't. He loved it! We also hit a few other things we had never done. And it was while we were on the Kali River Rapids that we noted that my sweet husband STILL did NOT get wet. Now, this is strange but true, while we were at CDA and on the Grizzle River Rapids last month a truely gaint wave of water jumped over the side of the boat. I saw it hit him. The son saw it hit dad. The man did not get a drop on him. The son was soaked. It was like my DH was made of teflon or something equally water proof. So we kidded him all that trip. And, of course tried to get him wet by going on the ride again. 2 drops, maybe!

So we go on the AK ride. AGAIN! Not a drop. And I am soaked, son is soaked. We have been drier after a shower! Teflon Bob got maybe a 1/4cup of water on him. I thought there were laws of phyics about this stuff! Water only jumps like this at the other park, ECPOT, not at AK! Fine, not that I am bitter that he was bone dry and we wern't... or that he was looking a little smug about it all....

We finished up AK and started over to condo. Got there and did all the usuall stuff like unpack, food shopping, finding if we remembered our toothbrushes. Finally got the lights turned out, and then I found out that cypress point has vampire-ish-like bathrooms. I mean the place was so dark that you could keep the undead in there safely during solar flares! Being female I don't need to turn the light on at night to find the toliet. Being in a strang place this was a dumb thing to do. I found the wall, I found the corner of the bed, the bathroom door, which was partically open and in the perfect place to smack me in the face... and finally found the restroom(in time...). I should have looked for a night light! How ever, I did find out the next night that a cell phone charging is a very good night light! Thank Goodness!

We got up the next day and loafed around. Now most of the time we hit the parks hard. But we have made a few trips this last year and weren't in a rush. And we had to move the "big" kids stuff over to the other condo. So we took it easy. It was Sunday,Thats a day of rest?

Monday we had 2 more join us... guys from PonyBoys school. More ticket buying. And off like a herd of turtles to ECOPT!

I have never been to the parks with someone so excited about rides, shows and just being there as 1 of these guys! At 22 he was more excited then my 4yo neice gets when a Disney Princess shows up and takes her by the hand. And thats excited! He loved everything! We DID everything. Lines eveporated at the sight of us coming. Things that had a wait of 20 to 45 min wait only took us 5 to 10 min. It was wonderfull!, strange, but wonderfull! And they even got Teflon Bob wet! Ok, it was a full glass of ice water in the lap... while we were at the restraunt in Morocco... but still, the man got wet! And better yet it was while the belly dancer was finishing up. I think it was faith...This was also the first time I have gotten twin pearls in Japan!
So all in all it was great. And I interduced 2 new people to the 1/2 yarders in the UK.

Important note here- I found out, and you all prob. know this... if you go inside the bar at ECPOT they will refill your yarder with Guiness! Same price, $7.25 ish, but they will let you get any beer they have. I was so totally thrilled by this that I downed the first one fast and had to get a refill... cause Off Kilter was coming on and the guys wanted one and I needed to show them how to drink the beer when it gets to the ball end. Right?

Anyway, the night ended with the usuall great fireworks, and back to the condos for more KH2.

As you all can tell this was not a power park trip. And I will finish the week up tomorrow as TB/DH wants to know if I am coming up to bed. And after a week away I need to catch some sleep..... ;) !

You sure had a party of kids there! How did you stand it? Looks like everyone had fun. Isn't Expedition Everest fantastic?

Thanks for posting.

Thanks for posting your report. :)

I have a few questions if you don't mind...

How long were the longest lines in the parks?

Did you get your twin pearls placed in a setting? If so, how long did it take?

Thanks and glad you had a great trip!
