I'm not sure about what is happening when you lose your family suite when you click on the meal plan on that website.
As far as choosing WDW over
Disneyland this year, you made the right choice. Disney World is a much more magical and enjoyable place in my opinion.
Heres a good tip: When you get to your WDW resort, purchase the $11.00 mug in the food court. This allows you to get free refills the entire time you are there. Also, if you know anyone who has been to WDW before, take their souvenir mugs in your suitcase and use them... it is a huge money saver.
Magic Kingdom is definitely the park for your 1 year old. There is so much for them to do and see and definitely go to Mickeys toontown fair in MK. When you go to Epcot, grab one of the masks from one of the countries and there are stations at every country for your child to color the mask and then they get to take it home.
anothe tip: use disneys magical express. this allows you to have a ride from the airport to your hotel and when you get to orlando airport, you skip baggage claim because your luggage will be automatically brought to your room at WDW.
I also advise you to stay at a value resort. they are the cheapest and are simply amazing. and having a one year old.. it is definitely the best way to go. if you have a little boy, try all star sports, if he loves disney movies, stay at all star movies, if you want a value resort that will appeal to the whole family, try disneys pop century resort.
hope this helps...let me know if you have ne more questions ( ive been to WDW 10 times myself )
