WDW “Content Creators” Invading DLR

I've seen at least 7 or 8 different vloggers in the parks and I would bet that 99% of the other visitors around them had NO IDEA that they were vloggers. Most of the times they are just off to the side somewhere filming fairly inconspicuously and only because I had watched a bunch of videos getting ready for trips did I know they had a channel. Maybe there are some inconsiderate ones around, but I have yet to see them.

Permits are an excellent idea, Coach. That way Disney could pull the permits of vloggers who repeatedly interfere with other guests' experience, while allowing those who keep a lower profile to continue their work.

Disney could also abuse the system and make it where if you don't like everything they can just kick you out and basically lose anyone with an Interesting Voice like Bricky and maybe even Freshbaked because they aren't yes men

Disney could do that now if they wanted, permit system or no. I doubt they'd bother being that petty about content if they set up a permit system that was based on behavior.

With a system it just allows more abuse to that

For me this thread is mostly people just upsets Vloggers and Live Streamers exist

I really want people posting videos of them seeing people behaving poplar or sharing the videos from the people who are "ruining the parks" because to me most people seem to just not like it vs have examples of bad Live Streamers....or videos showing how it is affecting the parks. If its more common then not ruining your trips then should be easy to have something to post showing what people are talking about

I have one of my own. You seem ardently supportive of the YouTube people filming in the parks. Even to the extent that such filming being disruptive to the enjoyment of those actually in the park is not a consideration over the videos benefit for people not in the park.

Video "proof" would be meaningless, you'd just as likely dismiss it as not showing anything disruptive.

In one form or another there is an expression that goes something like "one mans liberty ends where anothers begins" which is a simplistic way of reminding us to have respect for one another. Filming while standing in a ride line can cross a one for many, especiialy those with young children that don't want them included in a strangers video.

Years ago I was at a Las Vegas Star Trek convention waiting in line for an autograph from Jonathan Frakes and Brent Spiner.
I was filming, with permission, Jonathan Frakes signing the prop when Brent Spiner had a melt down about being in my video. He went on to say he didn't want to be in some random home video, though not as politely. He wouldn't calm down until I deleted it, in front of his aid. I skipped his autograph. My point is, some person might have a less restrained response to their child caught up in a video someone making from the line. Should that happen, Disney would put a stop to the practice immediately. I'm actually surprised it hasn't happened yet.

There are plenty of videos out there but my first instinct is not to fight fire with fire. I don’t just start filming people if they’re running amuck.

So your logic is flawed a bit. I get wanting to see evidence but people who don’t use their phones all the time and who don’t have a need to record anything sensational they see, it’s just going to happen less than you want.

And I certainly don’t “post it” if I were to film something like that.

You said you haven't see any...so why are you so against something you haven't seen with your eyes or experienced

It reminds me of when people were upset that drinking was allowed in the parks..said things would get worst and nope the parks are the same as always it isn't drunk people running around ruining your day

I have ZERO issues with people filming in the parks as long as they aren't like talking on rides, using flash/lightening or cutting the line. I go alot and see normal guests being just a rude if not worst then Vloggers and Live Streams. I'm not saying all are good but most are just fans who film the parks with almost no extra perks a few might get them but its far from normal even Freshbaked who everyone knows doesn't get into Media events for Disneyland

I just don't like people basically using scapegoats for why there trips got ruined not based on facts but things they made up in there heads.
Lastly I watch Live streams not just of Disneyland but other parks to see how they work, day to day and all that most to me seem like people just filming the parks and being normal respectful to them when there and I don't think Disneyland should just be for local...its one if not the best theme park in the world and sharing with everyone is nice...many of us are lucky and get to go but I don't want to take away that from those who are too poor or live across the world.

I don’t think anyone is arguing for that. I do see a lot of people in this thread blaming “content creators” for bad behaviors that are likely unrelated though.

Ironically the only filming that has ever impacted my vacation was done by Disney themselves. The production team they need to film those 30 second clips on the Christmas parade are incredible lol.

A few that come to mind: Best life and beyond, theme park obsession, Jojo’s World, Kyle Pallo, Resort TV1, and I’m sure a lot more, I choose not to watch them.

theme park obsession? Most his videos are him at a park talking about whats going on, how is he ruining the experience for anyone else?

I might not like some of these people as well but are the ruining the park or you just don't like there content? Because I'm taking about people ruining the guests experience when they film at the parks

You don’t have to agree with me. But you asked and I provided.

Their content. Not “there” content. I hate to do that to you but it throws me off when I’m reading because using the incorrect word makes a sentence confusing. Again, not trying to be rude about it. I’m certainly not perfect.

I don’t have time to go into detail right now nor do I really feel I need to. But he gives a lot of bad info and is overall lazy and unresearched. It’s burned me a few times.

Its about how the parks are affected. Are you as a guest having worst expediences because of content creators if not then its just people not liking them which cool but why would Disney ban people because they make content you do not like. It needs to be like them using lightening when they should not, talking on rides/shows and ruining the magic, skipping lines in a way that breaks parks rules and so on.

We come here to talk about the parks others go to Youtube to connect with creators they like and want to talk about the parks. Some just want to take that away.....because???

Your arguments are extremely weak which makes it hard to have a conversation. Besides, this thread is about a certain topic and you are in the minority for the opposite opinion. Perhaps this discussion isn’t meant for you at this juncture?

Reducing us to “old Karens” is pretty sophomoric. You’re attacking people in a thread where the topic is something you disagree with. That’s not a cool move nor a way to win people over to your side. We can air grievances here and commiserate and don’t need to have this argument. Perhaps that’s better subject matter for a new thread?

I typically spend 8-10 days in the parks every year and have yet to have a single negative experience with any YouTuber/Influencer/whatever. Never quite understood all the hate.
