I have seen some comments about the WCC. Are you not supposed to ask for certain things from your server? Can someone explain.

Also, how would we get there from the Poly?

It is a very loud fun place to eat. If you ask for Katchup things get very interesting. My husband did this two trips ago for his meatloaf. On our last visit in Jan. of this year he "smuggled" packets in to avoid the attention.

If you get a fun server, they do fun things around asking for ketchup, straws, and soda refills. There are also games for kids (sometimes) and newlyweds.

From the Poly you have several options.

You can take the Poly/GF boat or take the monorail to the MK, then switch to the WL boat. Or you can take the monorail to the Contemporary and take a boat from there. I would guess the first option (switch at MK) is the fastest.

We really just want to go for the food. Can we tell them we don't really want to be bothered?

A good server will take their cue from your attitude - same with at the 50's prime time.

I am in the same boat. I just want to go and enjoy the food and not be bothered.

WCC may not be for you, then. You can tell your server that you don't wish to participate, but there will be hootin, hollerin, tray-banging, bell-ringing, stick-pony races, etc., going on all around you.

The whole point of the place is the interaction. If you don't want to play along, there's not much reason to go. Aside from the skillet, it's sort of standard fare, you can get better food elsewhere.

If you really don't want the atmosphere, I've heard Flame Tree BBQ in AK has good food - similar but CS I think.

Another choice would be Trail's End at Fort Wilderness Campground. Its a buffet (and a good one at that). The fried chicken and ribs they serve are the same as at the HDD Revue. :thumbsup2 There's plenty of other good stuff to choose from too.

Someone else has mentioned asking for a table in the back, not the main dining room.

And the server knows you don't want to be part of it.
