We're going to be staying at the WL and I was thinking about trying out the WCC. I've seen pics of the food (looks yummy) and the mounds of ketchup, and even a bucket of pop! It looks like a lot of fun, but it's just Dh and me. We're not really looking for romantic places (we're already debating between 3 of the signature restaurants) and I thought this would be fun and so on.

So what are your thoughts? Good, bad, ugly?

We love this place, it is just me and DH. It is his favorite place to eat. He gets the skillet, I get the ribeye and think it is wonderful.
We are playing to go back. It is a cute restaurant, relaxing yet fun. If you are staying there, definitely try it.

We were at the villas, 9/19-9/27, our 10+stay there and decided to give the Canyon a try. We've done it for breakfast many years ago. We weren't on the DP and had no ADR but called the night before and they said," come on down". The place is noisy, but you can see that while just passing thru so if you want peace of mind and a quiet evening, skip it, it's very hard to have a conversation in there. As for the food, I'm cheap, wasn't going to pay 20 bucks for a meatloaf dinner so I opted just for the "endless milkshakes" and the wife had the meatloaf dinner. Let me tell you, she had enough meatloaf for 2 people easily so we shared the dinner and I did 4 milkshakes and the CM gave me one more for the road. I must admit, the meatloaf was very good, sharing we each had plenty and you still have room for a dessert. I personally wouldn't want to eat each meal there, the noise level gets to you after awhile. Another good place for a meal is Trail End at FW, very good buffet for breakfast and dinner, and no characters.

We went to WCC for a lunch and found the restaurant to be empty, yet somehow our server didn't seem to have time to refill our drinks and certainly didn't have any "fun" with us. That said, our meal (we all ordered the skillet) was wonderful (although, service issue again, we had a tough time getting any additional ribs when we wanted them). Service issues aside (everyone has a bad day), we would definitely eat there again. :thumbsup2

We have eaten there many times for breakfast and for dinner and we love it. The antics are fun and entertaining and my kids love the pony races. The food is very tasty, but you are talking to a family that loves BBQ anything. We also have never had an issue with service. If you are wanting to try it out (especially since you are going to be staying at WL anyways) then I say absolutely try it.

If you are staying at WL, you should give it a try. It is not my cup of tea, but some love it.

One of our favorite places to go. We have no small children but the food is GREAT!!!! It is loud but prices good and again GREAT FOOD!! We made Christmas dinner reservations for WCC this year.:woohoo:

To me it is not romantic but it is fun. Many of the servers do not do the "antics", so if you are not into it, don't worry. We tried but our waitress was nice and a good server, just not "fun". We enjoyed watching the others. I thought the food was very good and DH thought it was average to just good. I would go back in a heartbeat. Our first visit there was poor but we were not used to "Disney" prices. :rotfl: Since that time we have always enjoyed it. I prefer dinner to lunch.

We ate there last year and it joined Hollywood & Vine has a place we will never return to again. Seated 25 minutes past our ADR (as walk ups were seated first), rude host, terrible service, and really bad food. DH and I had the skillet and neither one of us liked it. We liked the milkshakes, but the food was greasy, fatty and my guess is undercooked as DH got sick on the chicken and/or ribs -- the only two things I didn't try after hating the rest of the food.

We'll be trying it for the first time in Jan. Doesn't seem like my cup of tea either, but I'm booking it for my husband. He loves BBQ and is a BIG eater. I figure if he's willing to have tea at the GF and all of the other fancy foodie places for me, I can give him a nice greasy manly meal. haha

LOL I'm used to loudness so that won't bother me. We'll plan somewhere else for a quiet evening for sure! The endless milkshakes sound absolutely awesome. I see that you're from Hubbard! My best friend grew up there and I grew up close to New Castle. Just a little bit of home :)

We love BBQ too, and if it's good BBQ-even better. It does sound like a lot of fun :)

:( I hate to hear that! I hope it was just a bad day....but I can see how that would turn you off of the place. Thank you for sharing that experience. It does make me a little nervous....

Thank you for your 'takes' on this!! It's going to be awhile before we're even close to making ADR's but I'll be keeping everything in mind.
