On the menus at allears, the skillets are different for lunch than for dinner. The dinner one definitely sounds better, but we were thinking of doing lunch here. Can anyone confirm that they are different?

Thanks!

We just had lunch there on Sunday, the skillet was horrible...it came with the fattiest pork ribs, the smokiest beans, a super fatty pork sausage, a frozen niblet ear of corn, vinegary cole slaw, the best mashed potatoes and cornbread and a chicken breast.

For dinner they throw in some brisket (I had a brisket sandwich and it was fatty and super dry) and a salad.

Plus, if you are going to WCC for the atmosphere, dinner is definitely when you want to go. Not much in the way of shenanigans at lunch. Dinner is much more fun.

I know some do not like the food at WCC, but I've eaten there many times and have never had a bad meal. And I always get the skillet.

I know at dinner, they usually have pulled pork and corn on the cob.

This is true. Breakfast and lunch are usually much more subdued and quiet.

Thanks for all of the great responses! I may be thinking of doing something else instead...any suggestions??

There are a lot of great choices around WDW. Where are you staying? What park will you be that day?

I know WCC gets some negative responses here on the DIS, but I will say that when it comes to me and my family....it is our Number 1 MUST DO restaurant.

Agreed! Plus the service was downright awful--two hours for two people--no excuse. DH was sick for several hours after eating the chicken and ribs. This, along with Hollywood & Vine, are two restaurants you could not pay us to eat at again.

We went for dinner in September. There were NO antics the whole 2+hours we were there.

::yes::

That's what I thought of our skillet at WCC, too. We had a good, fun server...but the food was close to inedible.

Oh no...seems alot of people aren't really impressed with this place.
:confused3I have a reservation for Sept 1 at 6:45 for dinner. Now I am having second thoughts. Maybe I will see what else I can get for that night instead!

I have to say dinner was def much better than lunch time!! BUt, even then our waiter wasn't too into the funny stuff. I think the funniest thing was the waiter guy they just place next to you, ya turn around and boo..hes a 3 ft statue next to you. The day we went there was no milkshakes, no ketchup , no huge straws for the huge cups, no pony rides, it was so boring really!! All they did was the clean plate thing, and someone asked for Pepsi!! That was it!!

So is there no calling for Ketchup at lunch? My son will be very dissapointed and I may seriously think of changing this reservation if that is the case.

I just went online and there is a dinner available at 4:20 on the day we were going to do lunch! I'm switched and cancelled the lunch!

i went in april during the easter break, and the food was good , the shakes were excellent and i had a LARGE drink , with straw , ketchup, a few times and we had pony rides it was a blast i will be back , p.s. this was all during dinner time :woohoo:

Just so you know- the skillets can be changed. We didnt want chicken or sausages- just ribs and they were fine with that! :)

We have never had anything short of a WONDERFUL time here.

Last time we were there, my 10 year old dropped his fork and asked for another. They brought out this HUGE 5 foot wooden fork. :rotfl2:

That was one of the many highlights for him on our trip. He still talks about it.

I get the skillet every time we go...I always ask for extra pulled pork and no sausage.
