Now the awesome news. Tyler's dad told me that yesterday, after being the first time doubling the morning dose, Tyler had a really good day! :cool1: There was a minor incident in the afternoon, but not enough to warrant a frowny face on his daily report card, just a flat mouth.

His teacher created a system for him last week to try to work on 2 issues, 1. raising his hand and not disrupting the class, and 2. keeping hands and feet to himself. She gives him a green index card with each of the 2 categories listed on both sides. One side is for the morning and one side is for the afternoon and the "report" consists of either a smiley face or frowny face. She has one popsicle stick for each category and each stick has 3 velcro pieces on it, so he gets 3 chances to keep his smiley for each category. Each time he has trouble, she takes one velcro piece off the appropriate stick. As long as he still has at least one velcro piece left at the end of the morning or afternoon he gets a smiley face report. For the first time ever, on Friday he almost had ALL 4 smilies and the 1/2 way face was only for a "minor incident". Not sure what, but it's not significant enough for her to give details, so that's good!

Anyway, FINALLY, a great day at school! His dad filled me in on all the details when he dropped him off after the game. :yay:

Cheri, when I lived in NYC I saw a lot of Broadway shows. Here's where I bought all my tickets......at the half price tkts booth.....check out this link......it's the stand with the Red and White Sign that says "tkts".

I would love to see Greece, but it's new so it may be harder to get tickets for. I've heard that Rent is also great and I've heard the same thing about Wicked.

At the bottom of the page is another link to all the current shows.

Enjoy and have lots of fun!

Dinner was a Lightlife Italian sausage (1 point), broccoli (0 points), cauliflower (0 points), wholewheat rotinni with garlic and mushrooms (3 points), and corn on the cob (1 point). Total = 5 points.

Now I have to figure out what's for dessert, except I'm really not hungry.

The smoothies:

1 packet WW vanilla smoothie mix (1 point)
2 cups frozen fruit of your choice (2 point)
2 packets Splenda
A splash of vanilla
A glass of ice
A glass of cold water

Throw it all in a blender and blend the crap out of it.

It makes about 2 glasses (Sukie and I each have one) and is 1.5 points for each glass. We love it.

.
Ian, your dinner sounds yummy and so do the smoothies! Makes me want to buy a blender. That would be a great treat for Tyler too. :thumbsup2

The cable saga ...

The Comcast installer showed up at 8:10 PM. He looked around and asked me if I had cable service (one might think that Comcast would have some inkling as to whether I am a customer or not).

I told him no, I have Direct TV.

Turns out he has to come back tomorrow. I told him I want this done at 2:00 PM because I work in the morning.

So there goes my Sunday, shot.

What surprises me is that I'm a new customer. This does not portend well.

Unfortunately, my AT&T DSL is horrible and S L O W. It ironically became slower when I upgraded to a "Pro" line. I have found that talking to AT&T is similar to trying to teach a pig to sing, you waste your time and it annoys the pig.

What has happened to service?

I take that back, I actually have typically experienced really good service with Direct TV.

So ... I guess no drives tomorrow and no Costco.

Poop.

.

JUST DON'T PUT LIPSTICK ON THAT PIG!!! Creates too much trouble and insults the pig.....

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: WAY TO GO TYLER!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Well, I just checked Tyler's backpack and read the whole darned folder of info we get every Friday, and still no homework yet this year. There's a note attached to some worksheets clipped together saying these were leftovers from what he was working on when he had his in-school suspension. So I'm going to have him work on them for more practice tomorrow. And there's a spelling practice list which consists of 8 colors. I doubt he'll know any of them but might be able to figure out "red", but we'll work on it tomorrow for sure. OK, I guess that would be homework. Good grief, my brain sure isn't working today! :rotfl2:

I'm sorry for my long-winded explanation. All I needed to say was that he had a great day after starting the increased dose. My mom gets so irritated when I do that. I can remember her when I was in high school constantly saying "Just get to the point, I don't have all day". ;) I've been working on it but sometimes backslide, as I'm sure you all noticed LOOOOONG ago! :rotfl2:

BUT he was pretty darned proud of himself! A whole day without having to go to the principal's office! Woohoo!

I'm going to be going to New York City for a few days in Oct. with my sis. One night we're going to a taping of the Letterman show but the other night we were thinking about trying to see a Broadway play. Has anyone got any suggestions about what to see, the best way to get tickets, any ways of getting deals, etc?

TIA!:goodvibes

My mom and sister LOVED the Little Mermaid. They also saw Mary Poppins but said The Little Mermaid was way better. Have Fun:goodvibes

Here's my cute little Spartan fan, returning home after his first football game:

You know... his favorite color now is going to be Spartan Green!!! :thumbsup2

Surprisingly, not yet! Still blue. Has always been blue since he was 2 or 3. ;) Bad thing is that those pants he's wearing in the picture came with a matching jacket, we bought them maybe a week ago, and he wants to wear them every day. Tonight he begged me to wash the outfit so he can wear it again tomorrow.

Oh Michelle, you poor unlucky sap! I just discovered I still have your email address. I apologize in advance. You too Jan! I used to have others but they seem to have been accidentally deleted (lucky folks!), so you're off the hook. :rotfl2:

That's ok Holly... cause I've still got yours... so you better watch out!!!! :rotfl:

Okee dokee, I'm out of here. Oh crap, I forgot, I have to wait until the laundry in the washer is ready to go into the dryer and THEN I can go to sleep. Oh well, I guess I'll go read until then and hope I don't fall asleep.

Goodnight all! :cloud9:

HELLO, I'm back! It was really fun and exciting and now I'm SUPER wired and I can't even imagine how the girls feel, not to mention that my hearing isn't the same as it use to be. So Miley Cyrus is SOOOO cool and I can't believe I didn't start listening to it earlier. We had really good seats in the orchestra that were like 10 rows away from her. There were only like maybe 1000 people there. There were so many empty seats, it was amazing! She actually came into the audience and said "I'm SOOO getting in trouble for this". We could have touched her. She spoke a lot too so it made her seem real somehow. The only problem was that there was so few people there that I think the girls didn't dance as hard as they would have if there would have been other girls dancing around them. I danced enough for all of us :goodvibes

Deb,

I think you're on Eastern time, we're an hour behind on Central.

I've had 3 Sunday meetings for over a year now. I'm the only leader on Sunday mornings.

I occasionally sub for other leaders but I only do that on Saturdays. As a matter of fact, I'm subbing next Saturday and covering another leader's 2 morning meetings.

I do that to be nice and also hopefully get people to sub for me when I need it.

I rather enjoy being a WW leader. It is so different from my normal work. I find it very gratifying.

Thanks for the time check, Ian.

Sorry, I confused your Saturday and Sunday meetings. Still I didn't realize that you do 3 every Sunday.

I know you're good at it because in order to be so, you have to love what you do. I can see that it's mutually beneficial for both you and your people.

Fat Free cheese. I buy either Kraft or Bordens slices. Two slices are 1 point.

Not that they taste like cheese, but I do like having a cheese-like substance on my sandwiches.

It's great that you are able to eat sandwiches and still stay within your points.

:dance3: :dance3: Glad you had such a great time. Sounds amazing.

And tell Jon, I read last night conversation. I was going to post a welcome back to him until he called me Beavis. He just might have to sleep on the porch next month. Or he won't get any of the spanish rice.
