Marilyn....send a PM to Deborah with Paul's contact information, as she will be in Gibralter for the Dover/Barcelona repo! Deb, this is the guy Monica and I toured with and he is great. I saw your post on your meets thread that you might be doing Gibraltar on your own!

There...I've done my nosy, busy-body deed for the day! :lmao:

.

Hi Jackie.....where would we be without your nosy, busy-bodiness.....that's what we love about you the most. That and your beautiful smile!!:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Jackie, sent the email addy to Deborah on FB! I wish he would get back to me again though. He has said he can do the tour, but hasn't answered my questions since. We planners need to know things to be able to plan!!!!!!!:lmao:

......hahaha.....yes we are such planners and don't get in our way of trying to get that done. You had to see me trying to explain to my ex sis-in-law why I needed to fill out the online check in paperwork in July when we're not sailing until October. I need to know Casey's flight info and his passport number. She said she would take care of all that. So I have to nicely bug her for the info.

Well we ended up doing the airfare yesterday and I bought his tickets so that I would know when he was travelling and also to get the right times for his return flight.....I needed enough time to get off the boat and to Orlando airport, but not too late because I have a Food & Wine date with many other disers to attend. Jane wanted to book the $99 fare which leaves at 3:30pm. I couldn't do that. So I paid to get him off at 12:30pm. It will be enough time to get to Orlando and to the airport early so that I can leave and go meet my friends and have some more fun!!!

I only buy at Cove Cafe and usually just round up the gratuity already added! Not sure we added anything at the dinner times wine bills though.

I add the gratuity everywhere I go....the 20%....at the Cove Cafe, Quiet Cove Pool, Promenande Lounge, dinner....etc. I always get the best service too. hahaha.:laughing:

OH, every morning we get room service coffee and coissants....we always tip $5 since it doesn't cost us anything. Well we leave the order outside the door handle at night and get the wake up call from Mickey. The minute we hang up the phone, they are knocking on the door. One day we didn't order because we were going to a meet for breakfast....Room Service called us to find out if everything was OK because we didn't order that day. Gotta LOVE DCL!!:cutie::cutie:

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Actually she isn't in good physical shape - everything is just giving up, but mentally she is as bright as a button. We think her hearing is going a little but she won't have that. And she can hear if you don't want her to!!!

Good....one physically and one mentally challenged....they should balance each other out. Ray wears hearing aids and changes his batteries once a week. I go thru tons of them for him. Mrs. Bush's can't get him to keep them in longer. So I just let him do it and keep buying them. I found them online for a discount. It's not so bad. He goes thru the batteries and polygrip for his dentures.....a tube a week.....and you can't get him to cut back either. It's fine....it's that's the worst of it, I'm not going to complain. Mom would kill him though.:laughing::laughing::laughing:

That's what I'm assuming. She also asked me when Tyler started eating with a spoon. Long before a year, for sure. She was horrified at the idea because she can't handle the mess. Poor Victoria. :sad2:

Maybe she needs more than one book.

Maybe Victoria will turn out to be a tom-boy and mom will have to learn.

I read a professional article about intercultural home interventions with preschoolers. Families of oriental ancestry feel that a messy baby is an indication thai the mother as not attentive or attunded to her baby. The Therapists were trying to help the baby learn fine motor coordination so were encouraging finger feeding. The Mom was not providing any follow through. Finally they settled on raisins and the title of the article is THE FIVE RAISIN SOLUTION or something like that. Each day baby was to be put in the high chair and given 5 raisins on the tray. They are edible and not messy but require coordination to pick up. Mom would stay busy preparing dinner knowing baby was safe and doing her assigned therapy.

I need some special prayers please...

Some of you have seen my posts on FB...

My Uncle Frank is very sick. He's 84 and he's really had his health problems over the years...

He was admitted to the hospital on Saturday for what they thought was a simple hernia... but he developed pneumonia very quickly and he is very sick.

My mom talked to my Aunt Winnie this morning... She thinks that he only has days to go...

I'm sad but I'm also ok with his going because you kind of get to a point where you just say "God... take him but make it peaceful..."...

I think it's getting to that time...

So... please... if you can... if it's time... ask that it be peaceful...

I'm a rum and coke girl but the drink I was having this night was a Bahama Mama - oj, pinapple juice, grenadine, some other stuff...and rum
Google is your friend :thumbsup2

Deb- I'm sorry I didn't call you back yesterday. Just so very tired. I txt replied to those who txted but I had called you so I didn't have that on my list to "reply"

The surgery went well, they did take the lymthnodes :sad2: which means the cancer did spread. maybe by friday we'll have the biopsy results that will give us the staging - which is how long she has. We won't be doing and chemo or raditation as it is truely a quality of life choice for her.

I'm sad :sad1:

So - today not so good. Sis got mom all settled in her nursing care and within an hour of sis leaving mom pulled out her drain. The maint of the drain was why she was in nursing care. So she is home and will have to be taken to the doctor to have the fluid removed as it accumulates. Which is more risk of infection and painful to endure the removal of course.

And lastly the worst part of the whole thing was dealing with my sisters. One of them had the nerve to complain that she didn't know what was going on with mom and her surgery. It isn't enough that we take care of mom now we have to translate everything for the know nothing  If she wants more info she can drag her sorry butt to the doctor appointments. I tell ya no more room in my life for this kinda bs.

and Paul likes his job - has his own office with a window :flower3:

I am two days behind so there is probably new info, but here goes anyway.

 SO SORRY

They take lymph nodes even if they do not suspect spread so it is not always a bad sign.

Did Mom have any idea that pulling out the drain was not a good idea?

Sorry about the siblings. Sounds like you are ready to use tough love on them. Seems appropriate also.

Let me know if I can do anything.

Glad Paul likes the job. Nice to have some positives when we have to go through the negatives.

Hahaha.....we switched it to an air conditioned luxury suite. It's worth it!!!!!!!

Shell, they called me to ask a question so I asked them to clarify the waitress service.....they said bar only.....bring food in from the consession stands. Sounds like Nathan's and Carvel for me. Then we'll order a bottle of bubbly from the bar and sip and drink and eat while in the comfort of air conditioning. Sounds perfect.

Once again, our daily prediction of storms failed. Some big ones went north and south of me. We had some rain, but not a storm. I love storms and have been wishing all summer for one. Oh well. I guess there's still plenty of summer left for us to have storms.

We have been having them everyday because it's so humid.

On Long Island in the town next to the one where I grew up, they had tornados.....and in Connecticut too. We have NEVER had one in all my 50+ years living in this area. Wow!
