No, you always have helpful info and I know others feel the same. :thumbsup2

Hey, why aren't you at the zoo or Wall-E?

We've been to the zoo and are back. There was high drama when we took a paddle boat out onto a lake. It involved Sukie rescuing a trapped goose.

We had a great time at the zoo. Because we were there so early it was nearly empty, which was nice.

Wall-E is happening later.

And now....the REST of the story!

A 70-year-old from Muzaffarnagar, India, became the world's oldest woman to give birth after she delivered twins Friday. Omkari Panwar, the wife of a retired farmer, delivered the twins — a boy and girl — via Caesarean section. Panwar, who has two adult daughters and five grandchildren, underwent in-vitro fertility treatment so she could produce a male heir. Her husband, Charan Singh Panwar, 77, mortgaged his land, sold his buffalos, spent his life savings and took out a credit card loan to finance the treatment. "At last we have a son and heir," he said. "We prayed to God, went to saints and visited religious places to pray for an heir." "We kept no stone unturned and God has rewarded us. The treatment cost me a fortune but the birth of a son makes it all worthwhile. I can die a happy man and a proud father."

I find this to be ridiculous

My mom is not too good....she keeps getting mixed up and saying crazy things. I lose my patience sometimes and I get ashamed....the other day she went on and on calling my kids lazy....(the last thing they are is lazy) ... i lost my temper and I am still angry.

She still talks really badly about Vanessa....and it makes me sad.

Isn't Daniel cute!! He is bringing 8 friends (6 boys and 2 girls) to the beach house on Wednesday. His dad is coming as well. Don will come home on Friday morning (Frank is having more surgury that day) and I am going going down....just to stressful for me to leave 8 teenagers in our house without supervision......

Lisa, breathe....and hang out with the kids. Sorry about mom. I was feeling the guilt yesterday too. I haven't seen my mom in a week or so and I just didn't want to deal with her. It gets so heavy at times.

I'm still waiting to see if my schedule firms up for around that time - but I'm certainly hoping to be there!!! :goodvibes

if you come, wanna share a room???? I think I might be in Dland for a few days solo since the kiddos have school...let me know.:goodvibes

Lisa, I dealt with taking care of my elderly father for several years.

You don't have to be ashamed for losing your temper.

We are all human, and we all have our feelings. We are not carved in stone like sainted statues.

My father, from time to time (quite frankly usually) could be quite hurtful.

I told him that even though he was in a bad situation, it did not give him license to be nasty and that I would not allow myself to be spoken to like that. Setting the boundaries seemed to work.

The only time it didn't work so well, was in the hospital and there was an issue with the blood flowing to his brain. He wasn't so much nasty, as bizarre. He told me he was a captive of the Spanish Army and that we owned the land the hospital was built on.

I have to admit that he was loopy, but for a change he wasn't nasty.

Getting back to my original point, you have a right to your feelings and don't have to feel bad or ashamed if boundaries are crossed and you are hurt.

Ian, your story of your dad reminded me of my dad when he was in rehab and on lots of drugs. He told Paul and I his secrets, no one else. He was strapped to his bed and taken to the basement, which was a floating ship and then cast away into the turblent waters. Such a strange place our brain....

We went over 10,000 Coke rewards yesterday!! We videoed it and since so many of you have sent us rewards....I thought you might like to see this!!

We now have enough coke rewards for a free flight anywhere in the USA on Delta....all out of a trash can!! (maybe I should write a book!!):lmao: :lmao:

that's cool Lisa congrats!!!

okay lazy me has to get moving...shower and yes wash, I smell too :lmao:

btw, we went to Hancock yesterday. It was FILLED with foul language. Paul turned to me in the middle and said, we should take the kids out. I said ask them, Wilson of course was fine, Molly mortified. She came over to sit with me and then the show turned to the good side. Still I wish we had passed on it. The language really took away from the story for me and I'm a huge Will Smith fan.

Paul got the porsche unburied from the garage I think we are taking her for a little drive around the block or so...pictures later.

When I know... I'll have my people call yours... :)

Ok... so...

I'm looking over on Ebay for postcards I collect - antique ones from my lake and also from where my grandparents had their bungalow...

The area that the bungalow was in was called "Waterwitch" after the James Fenimore Cooper book "Tales of the Waterwitch" - he lived there when he wrote it...

So I'm looking on ebay and I put in the search and a whole bunch of categories come up and I'm reading them and I knew I was in trouble when one of the Cats was "WEIRD STUFF"... Oh boy... I can only imagine!!!

Well I hope everyone is having a good day. It was nice and sunny a few minutes ago, but then I went upstairs to make the girls some sandwiches and we were hearing thunder. There were a couple of dark clouds in the sky but nothing too much.

A few minutes later and we are getting lots of thunder (haven't seen any lightning thankfully) and now it is in the middle of a downpour. And this is a hard rain. Looks like it is coming straight down with a ton of force.

At least it is cooling and helping to keep the cottonwood down!

But the girls are now inside watching Sesame Street instead of going outside.

Ian, you know we need details on the goose rescue. :rotfl:

well I WOULND'T be cleaning....I admit, I am a HORRIBLE housekeeper, but my lovely hubbie invited people over. So if I do not want to be reported to the authorities, I have to clean. I just wish I had help...I'll feed you and give you wine!

we can walk to the beach (Crescent Beach the point of rocks to Siesta)........just over the bridge, in fact the friends coming over tonight are parking at our house to walk to the beach to watch fireworks.

On SK...the lots are tiny, tiny...tiny. What mermaid show? The mermaid hotel?
it's a gorgeous place which we all too often take for granted that we have a vacation in our backyard.
Sarasota is not that big....I work on the north side and it's 6 miles from home....the county itself is large but the town is pretty small.

It's pretty laid back though.....beach mentality!

Thanks, its the beach mentality that we are looking for!!! I thought it was much bigger than there.

We unburied the Pink Barbie car out of the garage to take all the kids for rides in the neighborhood. :rotfl:

You are exactly right....It does get HEAVY at times. The is the exact right word. Little tiny things get blown up so far out of proportion, it is so bizzare. It just drives me crazy.

For example, my mom still has a car....she has not driven for 18 months, and she says she is going to drive again (NOT over my DEAD body)....well I ordered new tags for the car and I ordered them on the internet...well I heard about that for a week (no way that will work, I am crazy to trust a machine, it is so much better the old fashioned way.....) and then just like clockwork the tags show up. Then she asked me to make 4 copies of her registration (for a car she does not drive)...one for one side of her purse, the second for the other side of her purse, the third for her files and the fourth for the glove compartment. I said "Mom, you need to put the original in the glove compartment" and she says " I know but I need a copy so I can show both of them to the police for when they stop me. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
