I have been so ABSENT lately...I have missed all of you!!

After Vanessa left, I was just so sad and had trouble geting it all together. My mom was causing some trouble......

But today my kids and husband and I are at the beach house and we are all having a great time. I feel so much better!! We had BBQ Chicken on the grill, baked potatos, and Silver Queen (fresh picked Delaware) corn on the cob!! so YUMMY!!!!

We spent the day on the beach!! (I will post some pictures soon.)

We are expecting Deb and John to come by tomorrow sometime....if nothing else to park in our yard....there is NO parking in this town and on the 4th of July, there are 100,000 people decending on our little tiny town....

Hi Lisa I'm glad you're having such a wonderful day! I'm sure you will miss Vanessa for a long while, but it will get easier...and what wonderful memories you have! I bet she will always keep in touch with you and still be a part of your life Please give Deb and John a hug for me.

I went for a walk on my lunch hour and it was cold outside. Now it's cold enough where I wish I'd had a jacket on my way home this evening. But it was such a sunny day, it was still beautiful! The next few days are supposed to be just as beautiful. I just love summer!!!

When we were on the beach today the wind was out of the west and it was HOT!! Then about 1pm, the wind shifted to out of the south and off the water and the temp dropped 15 degrees in about 10 minutes. My girls had been swimming (62 degrees in the ocean here now) and they both started freezing. Gretchen had to wrap up in 3 beach towels and I had to hold her.

The SE wind had died down now (about 11pm here) and it has warmed up a little.

Well, at least we still have jobs Sara gets bumped from her manager position on Monday, but at least will still have a full-time job. The stores don't flip banners until Nov. That is when I will be doing the same job but for far less money Sara and Trevor and I are going for one last fling to WDW in Oct though The best news though, is that my son was home for 2 weeks so we had a great visit, he flew home on Tuesday...and my granddaughter and her mom moved in with me for the summer on that same day

Well, we were FOR sure sold to Staples. DAY ONE (that is what they are calling our first day working for Staples) is about July 15th. Since it is a hostile takeover, noone really knows anything at all. The only thing we have been told is that there will not be layoffs on DAY ONE and any job mis-placements will get 60 days notice. I have worked at this company for 20 years....(well I have been sold 6 other times.....so what is one more??)

Sorry about the downgrades in jobs...but I LOVE your attitude!! So positive!! That will take you a very long way in life!!!

I got a PM asking whose feet were whose.....

Well let's see...if you start with Daniel (the hairy one ) then the next one up with jean's on is my Annie (14) then comes Gretchen (11) Then me with my left over cruise pedicure (I am too sad to go get a new one....I look at the little tiny bit of polish and think what a great time we had)....then the last one is Vanessa.

I don't know if I posted this picture or not...this is a MUD PIT party at church....the police were called cause the kids were making too much noise!!

Don said the officer was laughing the first time he ever had to bust up a church party!!
