sorry to disappoint. I find myself very accomodating of my mom in her elderly years and the mind problems that are coming with them. I watch and listen to how my sisters talk to and with my mom and find myself very sad they aren't being very compassionate with and towards her. I tend to avoid her rather than be upset, which of course isn't any better is it

I ended up leaving work today shortly after lunch and came home to sleep for about 3 hours until somebody's lawnmower woke me up. I've been getting some things done around here, just ate supper, and am about to take more meds and head back to bed. Hopefully tomorrow will be painfree.

Hope you didnt lose the pay.

Vanessa wrote us a long letter and left it in her room. She told me as she got on the airplane where to find the letter. Gretchen and I decided to wait till Annie, Don and Daniel get home from camping on Sunday so we can all read it together. I know I will cry and by Sunday I should be more able to control my emotions.

What a thoughful and it seem lovely that she wrote you a long letter. Aww bless her.

The monsoon looks like it's getting a little closer each day. Today I could see some really big thunder heads off in the east and it's been cloudier each day for the past few days. Not sure when the rain will start, but at least the clouds block the sun and it seems a little cooler.

When we went to Phoenix for the first time I really thought they were being tongue in cheek when they were talking about 'monsoon'.

Well Marilyn... I think we just have to get a couple of really cute muscular guys with giant palm fronds to stand there and fan you until your comfy... John won't mind, will he???

Oh and with your BBQ... The only thing I could think of with the Vicars Garden is Bridget Jone's Diary when they had the Tarts and Vicars party...but it got changed...

Francis is not the average vicar! He was running around with the kids outside in the rain. Every time he came back into the tent some child was shouting 'Francis, Francis'!!!

Speaking of moms.......today my mom went in to the doctor's office and they took her blood pressure......239/119!!!!!!!
It's amazing that she hasn't had a stroke; the nurse wanted her to wait to see the dr. but she wouldn't do it, she drove home! The nurse called me on my cell phone when I was at work because my mom didn't answer the phone when the nurse called my mom's house check on her. Well, I called, and mom just didn't feel like answering her phone!

Wow, that is a dangerous BP, but how you get her to deal with it I don't know.

I'm still missing the names of the 2 behind Ann and Albert and the folks at the top of the stairway around John. Also, there's a woman between Gayleen and John that I have as "Gator" and I'm not sure why. Did someone say she was "Gatorfamily"? Does anyone know her name offhand? My miniNav is buried in a pile of cruise stuff. Other than that, I think I have everyone.

Is the top left family the Kaiser Family? Looked in the mini nav and they have 3 girls and a boy which could be the baby.

Look, I can't speak for anyone else, but I know that John and me were exhausted. It was way past our bedtime......I think we left around 12:30am. We had a great great time, lots of fun, but we just couldn't keep up with the young ones. Maybe we should have gone to the old geezers gathering at the Cove Cafe instead!
