USS Hornet ... http://www.uss-hornet.org/ it's now a floating museum based in Alameda.

We did an over night on her last fall with the boy scouts and while there we bought a membership which offered us a visit to their 4th of July party. It was fun, but WINDY

Oh, that's so cool! I do remember now about you doing the overnight. That would be so fun! I looked at all the pictures on the site and LOVE the one showing the giant containers below deck of beer, rum, gin, and vodka!

Ok so I just heard back from my friend from the lake... she rented at our OLD place - which I won't really go back to because the owners are total $^!# heads... and they rented it AFTER they talked to the other people... and since I'm going to be borrowing my girlfriend SUSAN'S cabin (I just LOVE Susan...we're the same age and we are great friends...) I guess I can be ok with everyone at the lake and I will have to retire my friends lake voo doo doll...

and by the way...

Under the right circumstances and the correctly prescribed reasons... Vicodin makes you feel much better... or was it the chocolate???

Here we are out on 4th of July

My racing guy today

It was a long hot day. We went to a club cross over race at Davis (yes at would be near UC Davis)

Wilson had engine problems during the heat race, he stalled in the first lap, so he qualified 10th (just one spot above last place, which was owned by his friend Sarah, who couldn't even get off the line in the heat)

Both Wilson and Sarah raced their tails off and finished 5th and 6th. (Wilson at 5th)

He was okay with that since it was great progress to make up 5 spots in just 8 laps.

Hopefully one of these days it will be his turn at first place...until then that's why they call it racing

I have bad news and good news. Bad news is when when DH comes home he might have to take me to the ER. Last night I got a pain in my side/back and it has gotten worse. I can't sit, sleep, or walk. Also I am dizzy and can't walk down the stairs. My mom and step-dad can't figure out what is wrong with me.

He is 9 weeks old. I haven't named him yet. Our cats hiss at him but they are getting used to him. Also he is super cuddly.

So sorry you are feeling bad Jill. I hope by now things are improving.

I love your kitty. We had a ginger cat too and I am quite fond of them.

Also, you shouldn't tease Jackie. She suffering from post traumatic photo syndrome.

Just that after I spent ages catching up on all the posts from whan I was away, there was nobody around for hours!!

Thanks for all the well wishes. I was using icyhot and it helped a little but you can't use it more than 4 times a day. I am going to take a muscle relaxer tonight and if that doens't help will go to the walk in clinic tomorrow.

I want to name the new kitty Koda( after the bear in brother bear) since he is so cuddly and it reminds me of the cruise.

I like Koda as a name, but how does a bear remind you of the cruise?

Here's something wonderful: 2 full days, migraine free! I had one Friday during the day, but it ended towards bedtime. Today, it was very strange though....it's almost like a migraine was trying to start. About every 1/2 hour to an hour, I'd feel about 10 very sharp throbs, then it would just go away! So, I'm assuming that's the preventative stuff doing it's job. WAY COOL!!!

Well, I'm off to bed. Long day and my eyes are burning. Barely managing to stay awake. I just hope Tyler doesn't fall off the couch! Well, I know he will, then he'll find his way to his bed.

Good morning everyone.....I didn'teven go on the computer yesterday.....I see you all were very busy......even giving out directions!

To answer your question.....Mike is going to Duke Law School in Durham, NC, We are all very excited for him. I guess I could add him back to my siggie, but I haven't decided what I want on it, so I just got rid of everything! I'll think about it soon.

Anyway, my Siggie's not NAKED! Doesn't my photo of Chuck, Pat and me show up?

Gonna take my my mom down to Good Samaritan Village which has apartments, single homes, manufactured homes and assisted living. She didn't like the looks of it a couple of years ago, but she may have changed her mind.

WE are having rain rain rain rain everyday.....must be July in Florida! I't's sunny now, but it's only 8 am.

Ha Ha, anybody who stays here has to put up with us! That is torture! But the good thing is that we got a new daybed in the computer room. Patrick rests on it in the evenings before we go to bed. Also we got a Wii!

We don't have the WiiFit, but we have bowling and darts!
