:rotfl2: Well, you're just a few doors down, so when I run up for ice cream, want me to bring you & Sukie some? :rotfl:

Yes please, our "cabin" is located just about 250 miles to the west of yours.

I love these reminders Ian, I've missed being on here a few days here and there, but whenever I have a few minutes to catch up, there's the reminder

Kathe

Oops, I forgot to post this today. Thanks!

I'm back from NC and totally behind. And probably don't have time to catch up - I should be cleaning, purging, organizing but the computer was calling to me.

Had a great time in NC - completed 20 pages and organized 24 pounds worth of photos (about 3000 prints :scared1: ) so my scrapbook weekend was a success.

Then I spent a week with my family and had a great time. We did a bunch of touristy things in Wilmington and went to an awesome fondue place called The Little Dipper.

Now I'm back for 3 days and we leave for FL Weds night to look for a place to live.

A couple of quick movie reviews -

Kung Fu Panda - very funny - my niece has seen it twice

Wall-E - I have to admit I found this one boring. We saw it the day after Panda which I enjoyed way more.

Wanted - Darrell and I saw this today and both enjoyed it - perfect summer action film. Though not for kids! It is rated R but there was a family there today with kids around 7 - 10!

Hope everyone is having a great summer

Back in Centreville from the beach. I wish I could spend my whole summer at the beach....

I am so tired....Good night!

sorry, sounds rotten, hope you are better now.
Yup, it finally went away around 7pm. Tyler was a good sport about being trapped inside with not much to do. He's got enough toys to keep him busy, but I still felt bad for him basically being on his own. :guilty: He brought a blanket to me on the couch at one point, with a stuffed animal too. He definitely deserves to go out for ice cream after karate tomorrow! Of course, that will be dinnertime, but he deserves the treat.

Paul and I went out to look at RVs and he said to the kids you are going to club after dinner. molly got it. she said sure you are going back to the spa again aren't you....smartie pants.:rotfl:
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hi Lisa,
Glad you've had some good times :goodvibes 24 lbs of photos, wow   Good luck on your search for a new home. Will you be living in Florida in Oct??? I'm going to WDW with DD and DSI in Oct and hoping to meet up with Monica, maybe we could arrange a mini-meet?
Kathe

Tyler and I have this thing we do every now and then where we take turns saying "I love you more than ____________" and we keep taking turns until one of us can't think of anything creative and ends it with saying "I love you all the way to the moon and back". That's sort of how we end it. Well, he just got up to go to the bathroom and he came to give me a hug and I told him I'm sorry he had a boring day stuck inside while my head was hurting so bad. He told me it's OK and said, "Wanna know how much I love you? More than all the freckles you have". :rotfl: That's a new one and just cracked me up! I just love how sweet kids are at this age. :lovestruc

Goodnight all. Seems I only get a few minutes here and there to try to get caught up and then it's late and I need to get some sleep before heading on back to work. I've gone from having an "empty nest" since a year ago May to living with a teenager and a 9 month old this week! Quite a transition   ;) I love having my GD Serenity here :cloud9: She is such a sweetheart. She is such a happy content baby. She isn't crawling yet, but just since moving in Tuesday, she has learned to pull herself forward, so combined with the rolling she is all over the place! Very exciting and scary all at the same time  Then there's her mom...I mentioned teenager...right:rolleyes: She is doing such a super job as a mom...most of the time...but then every once in a while she acts like a typical teenager...mood swings and all. Thank heavens I haven't started going through mood swings yet myself :rotfl:

YES - We will be there and I love the idea of a mini-meet. Just let me know when you will be there.

Since you're still here. Here is the recipe:

1 (750 milliliter) bottle red wine
1/2 cup sour apple pucker
1/2 cup rum
any fruit

Soak the fruit for a few hours with the wine and rum and add the pucker. You can add orange juice or punch but I would taste it first. It doesn't need it :rolleyes1

Made me some goooooood Sangria tonight!!!! Gaylean that is a great recipe. I added the fridge leftovers of cran-rasberry juice and stale Sprite. It was really good. THANKS :thumbsup2

Holly I hear ya, it's no fun to be a kid trapped in the house all day during summer. BUT....It is good to see that Mama sometimes gets sick and needs some tlc. He is a good kid at heart and it's great that he can share that with you when you really need it.

Lisa and Lisa, welcome back from your holiday travels!

Today has been spent watching movies - watched "Last King of Scotland" then the "Motorcycle Diaries" and a Ballykissangel show. Now "My cousin Vinny" is on. FUNNY movie!

It was a Harry Potter movie marathon for me. I managed to go to the post office and get some groceries and that's it for chores this weekend!
(oh, and took out the garbage)

AND...I'm toddling off to bed early too!

.

That is a lot. I wonder if things have gone up since the gas prices went out of control. How much was it to go to FL? It doesn't seem much farther.

Florida cost us $400 each (one way) and we just drove the 8 hours to Vancouver first. I just checked flights to Cabo for November and if we drive the 8hours to Vancouver, then its only $800 per person return, which is similar to going to Florida. that's something to think about for 2009.:)

Today's Zits comics strip reminded me of parents who plan vacations that they think their kids will enjoy.

Woody

They forgot to go to something Disney!

Speaking of ice cream, today we went to Disney's Soda Fountain. YUM!

Woody

I wish I was there!

Hello all..Hope everyones 4th weekend was fabulous.

I am JEALOUS...my good friends boarded OUR MAGIC today! How dare they! This is their first cruise ever. They were so excited. I spoke with them this morning as they were driving to the port. I gave them some names of employees and told them to say hi from the large group of disboarders!

Have a great night all!

Steph
