I'm here until 7pm :surfweb:
Yuck! I'll probably not get hom until 7 because I'm having a drink after work with a couple co-workers. Actually, I'm having diet coke...I just go for the free chips & salsa! It's the best homemade salsa in our area, I think. :cloud9:

Just ask what type of tomatoes they're using....there's still the salmonilla scare going on.

I should be home about 745p-8p if I get out on time.

Well we're leaving tomorrow morning early so I guess that means the holiday is here and I better pack.

Have fun, Deb! Don't I remember that you were packed for our cruise like 2 weeks ahead of time??? You're slipping!:rotfl2:

Michelle, the print I had made of the scan you sent me turned out really well! Thanks so much!

Holly, my heart goes out to you and Tyler...and to his dad. Kelly gave a wonderful assessment of the situation. My experience has been from the side of the school and the teacher. It was beyond frustrating to see a child suffer because the parent(s) were unable, for whatever reason, to take the steps necessary to get that child some help. No one is the "bad guy" in these situations; everyone--child, parents, school, classmates--is affected and I tried to remember that even if it didn't seem that way to me, everyone was doing the very best they could in that moment to cope with what was happening. to you as you trudge along this path and don't give up!

Angie & Dennis, :jumping1: yipee!

As I'm typing, I'm listening to the sounds of the slurry bombers and helicopters flying overhead as they're fighting a forest fire that's been burning since last Sat. night. It's 30+ miles south of here so I'm not threatened by it, but it's still only 10% contained, last I heard. It was started by a "warming fire" built by a lost hiker. :scared1: I guess if you're from Phoenix, you might think you could freeze to death when the lows get into the 50s!:confused3

Hey Kelly... PM me your address... do you have the Glory of Gershwin on your Ipod??? I'll send you a cd if you want...

Will do. I'd love it, thanks.

Very good point, there is always the other side of the story.

We've Set the Date

I don't think I have mentioned that Sukie and I have "set the date."

We have booked Thursday, September 4th at 11:00 AM for the license and ceremony.

After our last experience, we decided it would be good to have another day when the government offices are open. Not that anything will go wrong, the whole process is much simpler in California than it was in Ontario.

So, if you Californian folks (or any of you other folks in other states, provinces, countries, counties and shires) would like to make this a meet-up and celebration over the weekend, please PM me.

PS - We are really much more up beat this time. I'm even looking into the possibility of having some sort of wedding cake, though if it's the two of us, it might be more of a cupcake.

Sorry we can't be there Ian, but save some cake for when we next meet!!:teeth:

They don't speak English well enough to have that conversation, so maybe I'll just skip the salsa.

But I thought on the news last night I heard them say they decided it's something other than tomatoes?

And what kind of tomatoes are the ones at risk anyway? I haven't been paying attention to this.

Mazel Tov! See California was ment to be! (although I do feel very sad for you both for the hassle you had on the first try). I will check the calendar and PM you both. I might even be able to take a long lunch if you need someone to hold up the chupah :cool1: or sign your katubah

Chat with everyone very soon.

Holly, hang in there and remember some of us have been there too and are available to help you get through this too.

I know I have been MIA for a while, life has been very busy between work and trying to find Dan a work program for when he finishes school in December. I will try to check on the boards as often as I can, but I am always available via my regular e-mail. If anyone wants it, just PM me.

Missing everyone and hoping another long cruise comes up for 2010! I will try to get some photos up or e-mail some out as time permits.

Cheri - those are beautiful! Where was this?

I wish I could go to CA to be a witness for the blessed event, but alas I don't have the time to take off. You know I'll help you celebrate when you are at the World next (plus I'll be in CA in spirit)

I have done likewise! Not that I have seen much difference since adding Ian ... But who knows, we shall see as we go along. I have noted that Nintendo does seem to be adding content to the Nintendo Channel and the Nintendo shopping channel so things seem to be always changing.

Hey all!!
I am ok, and my hands are better ---- took some antibiotics and poof.

Holly I hope things improve soon for Tyler.

Ian and Sukie, congrats on setting the date!!

What else have I missed?

Tonight is the boat parade and of course, like every 4th of July it is raining....we are going to a party on Saturday and tomorrow will walk down to the beach to watch fireworks.

I have dinner cooking and Haley, Samantha and I just mixed the batter and poured the cupcakes! What a MESS!

Hope everyone is doing well!
