Going into a Little Chef for breakfast on the way home from the airport and being told you can't have scrambled eggs becasue it's not on the menu! Waitress had a face like a slapped a*** and an attitude to match. DH turns to me and says - welcome home!!!!!

For me it has to be undertaking on the motorway, dangerous in this country I know, but in the US it made tonnes more sense and kicked middle lane hoggers right up the backside.

Also, the humidity smell that you lose when arriving back in the UK.

Also.... near manic depression when you realise you have to wait another year to go again, and even then that feels like a lifetime to come round.
