Ways to entertain a 9 month old on the flight

We fly to Orlando in October and my little one will be 9 months old. Being my first I have had no experience of flying with a minor. Could you please share your tips and ideas on how I can keep him entertained during the flight.

When DD was that age I took a few small plastic toys that she could play with and some touchy feely books to look at. At that age they are fairly easy to entertain between naps

Maybe take an iPad with some tv shows on. My little nephew is 7 months and he likes to watch in the night garden x
