Way to find average car rental price?

I know, strange question.

I'm doing a cost analysis for an extended family trip (onsite vs. offsite) and I need to find out a ballpark figure for car rental rates for October and December.

Other than just having people post what they paid for those two months, is there a site I could check out to get that info?

Check the rental car board at betterbidding.com (not affiliated). This board keeps a history of user reported rates from Hotwire and Priceline.
