Haven't seen any yet but this article indicates central Florida will be experiencing the WaWA.

The WaWa is awesome. It's a must do after every soccer tournament for my daughters team. They love making their own milkshakes.

Wawa is the best! We have them all over the place here. I love their hoagies...my kids love choosing how to make them using the touch screen menus.

Their gas prices are usually pretty good too! And, they have one of the only fee-free ATM machines around! :thumbsup2

Yes, Wawa plans to open stores by 2012 in the Tampa and Orlando markets.

No specific site has yet been selected for the first Florida store; several are under consideration.

And for the record, the name is "Wawa". Not WaWa, as the author of the article reports. It's a common mistake, even among Wawa fans.

wawa is great. i only get my gas at wawa and i only buy milk from wawa. wawa milk tastes so much better i get the nonfat milk other places i cant drink the nonfat milk, but wawa actually tastes good.

Our WaWa's suck to put it nicely.

I have to agree with you.

WaWa came to our area about 12 years ago and they were wonderful. Clean, great prices. It seems that they haven't cleaned them in 12 years now. The pumps are run down and dirty. The exterior of the Wawa is just dirty. Like they need to comei n with a big power washer and clean the whole area.:confused3 As far as I can tell, the store inside is fine but no one really gets into the food or beverages around here like they do in other locations. Not sure why that happens and why they have "let themselves go" here. Now, the Costco gas station is fabulous, although there is no retail store associated with it. The gas pumps are immaculate and well-maintained and the workers are constantly cleaning it. The ground around isn't littered with garbage and oil stains.

Heck ours doesn't even sell gas so it's just the store & I love how the article states that they're staffed by a dozen people. Heck last time I went in there was like 1 person manning the slurpee machine & watching the hotdogs go around on the spinners. Not what I'd call fresh food. Wawa's skeeves me. Ours have been here for over 30 years so maybe that's why.

We usually have one person at the sandwich counter, maybe two. Then there are usually two at the register, and one working the "grocery" area in the back. That's a total five people max.

My daughter used to get sandwiches there but after two episodes of stomach troubles, she hasn't been back.

Wawa is a shore tradition! There are none in northern NJ so when we go down the shore, we have to stop! Being in Louisville now, I miss it a lot. Whenever we drive home and hit one in Pennsylvania, we must stop! :lmao:

I :lovestruc Wawa. Our Wawas are very clean. They are well stokced, everyone is super nice. Rolls are fresh for great hoagies. Kids like the milkshakes. I am addicted to thier egg sandwiches and hash browns.

This is an awesome store. I remember the first time I saw it, I made a face like this :scared1:

But it seems as if each store is different. There are 4 Wawas in my immediate area, and we refer to them as 'the closest one', 'the one up there', 'the one with the gas' and 'the good one'. Each one is special in it's own way

Great photos!! That location in Wildwood used to have an old, tired Wawa. It was knocked down and rebuilt about 7 years ago. They designed it in the Wildwood "Do-Wop" fashion, the intentionally and delightfully tacky style of 1950s and 60s Wildwood motel architecture.

Most Wawas have a standard design, but there are a few others that also reflect the neighborhood in which they're located. Williamsburg, VA has a brick Federal colonial style. The small town of Tuckerton, NJ has a Wawa with a large cupola on top, extending the theme of the Tuckerton Seaport Museum next door.

Going back to Wildwood, sadly, many of those do-wop motels have been torn down in the past 10 years or so, replaced with expensive (and mostly unsold) condos.

I miss Wawa :(

There are days I think about getting a hoagie from Wawa, then I remember we don't have any! Sad day.
