Im talking about the jumping fountains, and spray areas the kids are able to utilize to get wet. Can someone list which park, and where? Thanks!

I know I saw an area at Animal Kingdom but the location has escaped me :confused3

How do you work this?? Do you put a swimsuit on your children under their clothes? Do you bring a change of clothes with? We are going next month, and I'll assume it's going to be hot out (lol). I know my kids would love to do this.

That a good question. I thought I read some where that if your kids aren't potty trained you have to put them in swim diapers in order to play in those fountains. It makes since. What is everyone's experience? Should I pack swimmies, bathing suit and sandals to every park. (Yippie, more to carry.)

Isn't there a bridge near Splash Mountain that you can get soaked on too?

I'm going to put my DD in regular nappies and a swimming costume with her normal clothes on top. That way she can crawl and toddle about in the water if she wants too and I won't have to worry :)

My Ds will wear his bathing suit into the park (the beauty of being a boy). DD will have her suit with her and then change her into it. They plan on getting wet alot! We always have a change of clothes with them anyways. :sunny:

Pooh's Playful spot in MK also has a squirting fountain. And MGM has the Honey I Shrunk the Kids play area where some kids get wet under the giant dog nose. My boys didn't but some kids got soaked here.

Mary,
Our sons used these areas a lot. We just let them wear their swim trunks with a tshirt into the parks. We took the tshirt off before they jumped in but even if you left it on, they air dry so fast in the Fl sun that it's no big deal to them. If you have a daughter, just let her wear her swimsuit under her clothes. Also, Crocs shoes are really good for this purpose. My boys didn't have them for our last trip but I had them and they only took a few minutes to dry after playing with my kids in the squirting fountains. Their water shoes would have taken much longer to dry so I ended up carrying two pairs of shoes into the park- an extra for each of them to change into after their water shoes/sandals got wet. I'm glad they will have their Crocs for the next trip.

In AK, near Kali River Rapids, there is a fountain (near some bathrooms) that tons of kids were playing in. Not a sprayer fountain, a more traditional one, but it still was fun for the kids.

There are sprayer fountains in DTD too.

In MGM isnt the fire hydrant still there that squirts in the City looking area? When we go to DL we always stop with our little ones to get soaked. It makes them happier I think. Like someone said my DH wears swim shorts with a tank that day, and his sandals that can get wet. My daughters wear swinsuits under their clothing. I have NEVER made them wear swim diapers because they cant get that wet. They can get soaked, but its not like these are standing water areas. At most the diaper gets a tiny bit wet, but not like they would if they were in a pool. I just change the diaper when they are done, and take off the swimsuit and put the clothing back on..

Be warned...In DL they REQUIRED kids to keep shoes on in these areas. So either wears shoes that can get wet, or bring water sandals.
