According to Allears.net, which I find pretty reliable:

Typhoon Lagoon will be closed for its yearly refurbishment October 31 - January 8, 2011

Blizzard Beach will be open though. It usually has its refurb in Feb & March

That's right it's on the dis info plus dreams unlimited as well that Typhoon is shut for this period.

Oops, forgot about the others. I assumed it was just the Disney waterparks the OP was asking about. I obviously have a one track mind!

Missed Typhoon last year as we stupidly thought it was closed from Nov 1st, so went there on Oct 31st - we felt like the family on National Lampoon's Vacation turning up at Wally World
So this year we're going to go there on the 29th or 30th!

oh no you are joking! we are arriving on 1st nov & Typhoon laggon will be shut for the duration of our holiday! we have purchased Disney tickets so surely Virgin should have let us off some of the ticket price seeing as we cannot go to Typhoon lagoon?

Unfortunately there's nearly always something that's closed or being refurbished, and generally the seasonal refurbs are published well in advance. It's a shame when you're looking forward to something to find it closed though.

You'll be able to go to Blizzard Beach, WDW's other water park.

blizzard was closed when i was there.
