I gone to the water parks a couple of times in January, and I won't go any other time now! I really love going then (and I am not kidding!). There are minimal lines, and you can swim all over the wave pools without hitting anyone! And you can go on the tubes and slides over and over again with hardly a wait. Yes, it can be cool, especially if there is a wind. If it is forcast to be rather cold, the water parks may close for the day and not open at all. I usually pick the best looking day on my trip to go - usually if the temperature hits at least 70 degrees and is somewhat sunny.
The people you find swimming at the water parks in the winter are usually the Brits and people from northern areas like me! Most people from warmer areas would never go to TL or BB in the winter!!
