Waterparking for the 1st time??s Calling all waterpark vets

We will be going to a waterpark for our 1st time in Mar. A DF today informed me that we will probably be waiting in hour long lines to get on the attractions. Is this typical? We are hoping to get there early to get a seat, and really hoping for manageable crowds. Probably doing TL for our 1st.

Any info from you waterpark vets would be great!

Our first ever Disney trip was in March, and YES the waterparks were PACKED. It didn't help that it was beautiful weather that week, but come 12:00 time, I'm not even sure WHERE the people were coming from!!!!

I'd say get there at 9AM (I think EMH lets you in this time), and ride your hearts out until around 11:30 or so. Then get outta Dodge-----or sit by the pool. It also slows down later in the day around like 4:00.

We're going the first weekend in May. Would you expect the crowds to be as bad as March at the waterparks?

We've gone to Disney in May for the past 2 years...we always do the waterparks for 4 or 5 afternoons each trip & I don't recall the waterparks ever having been "packed".

Looking for same info but for May 20-31. Are we crazy to go to waterparks Sat and Sun of Mem wknd instead of the parks?

I was there in June 2004 and though there were a lot of people, it was not unmanageable. First off, we didn't get there until like 11am (slow relatives) which I don't suggest. But we were still able to find seats, allbeit not good ones. We were able to do everything we wanted to. There were lines, but nothing that stands out as being really bad.

Go on a weekday and get there early. You should be just fine.
