Water shoes at the Waterpark?

I've been to a waterpark before where they made you take off your water shoes on all the rides/slides. I assume it is either because of damage to the slides or damage to the person.? Does anyone know what the Disney policy is? Do they allow the water shoes everywhere? Thanks for any info.

You will have to take them off to do the speed slides. Raft slides are no problem, but if you want to go on Summit Plummit or Slush Gusher for instance at Blizzard Beach you would need to remove them (they will just ask you to take them off and hold them in your hands).

Ok Thanks. At the other waterpark they made us take off our shoes on every ride even the raft rides.I appreciate your help.
