Has anyone visited the water parks solo? Are there any perks? Possibly single rider lines? Any situation where you may need someone to share the fun with you? Going to Blizzard Beach.

i went there solo last year and sadly it was not a great time. most of the rides are two or more, with there being a single tube ride and the multilane racer. of course the river is great fun to float around in.

i dont recall seeing any single rider lines either. the park had a great atmosphere, but if you could, i would say go with someone.

Does that mean if it's two or more slides, you can't ride it? I was thinking about going alone to BB and doing that huge raft thing that seats 4 or more people (sorry, forgot the name of the ride ) Are you telling me I won't be able to ride that if I go alone?

yeah i had a single tube ready to go down a tube ride, i think it was runoff rapids, but got told that its only for 2 people and i got sent to the single person tunnel.

i suspect the 4 person raft ride, teamboat springs, will be the same

Yeah, that just seriously put a damper on my excitement. I was already kinda meh because I wanted to go to TL instead but that's closed for refurb when I'm there. Another damper :( I'm a slide addict and seriously, whatever waterpark I went to, they'd just team you up with another single rider. I mean there must be a way.

However - are you really sure the rafts are 4 person only? I mean, will they not put groups of 2 and 2 in the same boat? I am just wondering because seriously, that would mean that a lot of people will not be able to ride it. Imagine it's just me and kid - we wouldn't be able to ride it then. We've done the rafts before, and now thinking back, I'm pretty sure we were seated with another couple because it was just sis and me at BB and we sure did ride the rafts.

look for that, I honestly dont know, they might have a system, but i know for a fact you cant go solo.

Maybe it's different during peak times because every information I found says you can go down the double tube as a single rider.

I also posted on the attractions forum because I thought I was going crazy remembering the info from last time and people there also keep saying you can go on all rides at BB as single rider and they have done so. Maybe you had a misinformed CM? :confused3

I know you can ride the rafts solo. They put different parties together. I don't know how many they hold, but they fill them up. So if they did hold 4 people, you'd just have to wait for a party of 3 or 2.

Yeah, I'm slightly disappointed about going now, but I'm going to try it out.

You are going on your trip before me, so if you can, please post how it goes.

I'll definitely report back. On a side note, my sister called last night so I asked her if she remembered about probs as a single rider at BB. She said no. She rode all Runoff Rapids rides alone while I did Summit Plummet. We also had another single guy and a couple seated with us at Teamboat Springs. She definitely did all the tube slides alone. We went during slow times though, maybe they have different policies when it's busy.

Most slides you go alone! The big raft they just put groups together and it's fine. I go with my handicapped son, he has to "slide" alone on most and I worry so I know that going solo works just fine! Have fun!!

i had no problem going solo at either park - on the big tube slide they try to put 4 in a tube so you will be sitting either with the family in front or behind you if they have less than 4, but its always fun anyway.

go! enjoy! dont worry!

If you are up for going off property I would suggest Aquatica. I went there solo last year and it was fantastic hands done my favorite water park in the Orlando area. As a single person I had a great time, lots of solo rides and they just matched you with someone. It's worth going for the lazy river that is more like rapids alone. I will be in wdw for my honeymoon next month and plan on hitting TL and maybe BB. I love them all but as a solo traveler Aquatica really did it for me.

As a side note you might be interested in looking up the Touring Plans pod cast, it does indepth information about wdw topics. They have a water parks pod cast that talks about BB being designed with more group and family rides because that was a big request from families.

What ever you do it will be fun, I mean your at a water park!

I spent a morning by myself at Blizzard Beach and enjoyed it. Sadly there were no solo lines like in the parks. Some lines were long but fun. Only one slide required me to team up with others but it was still fun. If u have any more questions send me a private message and I will gladly answer it
