I'm going to WDW at the end of May and was considering going to either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. The problem is I haven't been to Blizzard Beach in in almost 10 years and it's been WAY longer since I've been to Typhoon Lagoon so I don't know which to go to. I'll be there with my mom, dad, brother (17yrs), sister (23yrs), her boyfriend (24yrs), and my boyfriend (21). (I am also 21 yrs old). Can someone please give me a general idea what both parks are like and which they prefer?

bump.....I really want to get some input on this but I don't want it to get lost in the see of threads.........

My DH - 40'ish and DS - 9 like BB over TL. This trip we only time for one and BB was the choice, hands down. They feel it has bigger and better slides. The layout makes it feel less crowded. I hope that helps.

Is there anyone who can give me a brief desciption of each water park? I'm looking for atmosphere, attractions, crowds, etc.....

The atmosphere at BB is cool. If your are looking for big water slides, this might be the place for you. Lines are long for the big slides though. I personally like TL best. I love the wave pool! It's my favorite. They of course have many water slides as well, Just not the really big ones like BB.

I love the waterparks! I don't think you can go wrong with either one. I like the variety of rides at Typhoon Lagoon, including swimming with the sharks and the Crushn Gusher.

The last Saturday in May Typhoon Lagoon has EMH for resort guests AND evening hours, too. We'll be there all day!

:cool1:

To me, the feel of TL is a little more laid back. We have younger kids, so we prefer TL to BB. TL felt like a place to you could relax and enjoy where BB felt like a place to cruise around and get in on the action. They are both great....but have different "feels" to them. It just depends on what you are going for.

If you like tropics and shade TL is better. It has the biggest wave pool in the world, a new "water coaster" called Crush n' Gusher, a Shark Reef and some other slides that are similar to slides at BB.

If you like christmas music and thrill rides BB is better. It has the tallest/longest/fastest body slide in america (Summit Plummit) it has another body slide, two tobogan mat rides, the longest family raft ride in the world (Teamboat Springs) and a couple of inner tube rides.

Crowd wise both parks are going to be crowded during the end of May. Since Typhoon has less attractions where you wait in lines it feels less crowded sometimes, however both get very crowded. Get there early and use EMH if you are staying on property, it is worth it.

Hope this helps!!!
