If I remember correctly you can buy a mug in the water parks and then pay for a sticker for each day you go to get as many refills as you want.

Is this still the case? If so does one mug cover both parks or do you need to buy one for each park?

We plan to go to these parks 5 times and my DH and I will probably just stay a few hrs then leave our kids to stay the rest of the day on their own as my MIL and the other adults in the group do not plan on going here at all and will need us back for lifts to places they want to go. - Once left want to make sure the drink enough with panicking that its using up their money (esp my youngest she a miser :rotfl:).

Is there a bus to dtd from the water parks so they could go there to to wait for us to pick them up if the storms come in the afternoon.

Lastly the other adults in our group do not expect to enjoy going to the parks and intend to send the kids with us or on their own. So they have only bought minimum stay tickets - ie single & 3 day ones. Can days be added if they change their minds.

By the way the kids that will be left aren't really kids now (21, 21, 18 & 17) so no worries about going it alone- not sure what else to call my kids now they are older.

yes. $6 per additional day.

you can use your mug at the 2 water parks but not on the same day. This means that you can bring your TL mug to BB the next day, purchause the sticker at BB, use it there, and the next day bring it back to TL and purchase a TL sticker, iyswim

now considering that you're going in 4 months, the resort refillable mugs might be extended for use at waterparks (it was rumored without a date, so it might even never happen)
it may or may not be relevant to you, but I thought i'd mention.

Typhoon Lagoon is on the Resort-DTD loop, but BB will require a bus change at a resort (easiest would probably be to catch a bus to SSR and walk to DTD)

Is it a water parks only ticket, or a magic your way ticket with water park fun & more option ?

yes.

Thanks for that.

My MIL has the 3 day base ticket at the moment (we bought her that a s a thank you for the holiday- she is treating all 15 of us :worship:, but she insisted that she did not want to go for any more days and was sort of harassed at the thought of more days so we didn't buy the longer one even though it was only a few more dollars:(- . The others have not bought any yet but are talking about 2 day only tickets (madness I know). Can either of these be upgraded to add more park days, as I am sure that when they go (1st time for all) they will probably change their minds - water park days will not be needed for any of these tickets.

regular base tickets can be upgraded at any ticket window as long as you stay within the requirements (max 10 days per ticket for example)

for a very comprehensive guide to WDW tickets (including upgrades) please have a look at the Ticket thread on the US strategy board

I believe the water parks have switched to RFID mugs now - you can still get them reactivated at a reduced rate on another day though :thumbsup2

Elise, If they are RFID mugs, can we use our resort mugs at the water parks without charge ?

Tony

The water park mugs are different to the resort mugs so probably not unless I've missed a change. I think that is the rumor that chmurf was referring to though and we await to see what if anything comes of it. I'd only buy one mug for DD and I to share. The waterpark mugs are huge!
