Our trip is in two weeks so it's probably too late to change, but we are going march 2-8 with myself, dh, our 2.5 yr old triplets. And possibly my sister (19) and my parents. We opted for Water park and PH tickets, because our kids do love water, but I just got to wondering if there will be enough for our kiddos to do there at a water park? Anyone carried their kid(s) that young and was it worth your time?

We went to the water parks when my DS was 2 1/2 years old and he loved it! There is a water play area exclusively for little kids and he loved the lazy river and whatever else he was big enough to get on. (He is a water bug!) I have some of the cutest pictures of him going down the Goofy water slide in the little kid area. Although we went in May and it was boiling hot (mid 90s). I am not sure how it will be in March but that May, it was nice to be at the water park.

Blizzard Beach has an excellent play area for toddlers, which is separate from the area for older kids. Kiddo and I would also go on the lazy river. She was 3.5 when we did this, but I think 2.5-year-olds would love it too.

Some kids also like playing in the main wave-pool area. My kiddo had no fear of waves, which was fun and scary at the same time.

Typhoon lagoon has a kids area that combines features for toddlers with features for grade-schoolers and tweens, so it is more chaotic. The waves at Typhoon lagoon are much bigger too.

Is it worth it? Hard to say. It might depend more on what pool features are at your resort. We typically stay at value resorts which typically have a splash park (things that spray water, but no pool), a wading pool (kind of boring), and regular 4-foot-deep pools (feature pool plus quiet pools). Other resorts may have better toddler pool features. I found this link to various resort wading pools.

Unfortunately Blizzard Beach will be closed for refurbishment during your trip so your only option will be Typhoon Lagoon. We usually go in August so always got the water park & more option and considered it for our March 5-12th trip (we also have a toddler 2 1/2 and two teens) but decided against it when we found out only one water park would be open.
