Water Park discounts - do you buy your tix at the DVC resort or at the gate?

My younger DS wants to go to one of the water parks when we're down at WDW later this month. We're staying at OKW and I noticed on the DVC site that there is a discount for single day tickets for DVC members (and apparently also for AP holders, etc.).

My question is this... can I buy our water park tix at OKW and get the DVC discount, or do I have to wait til we get over to the water park and get it at the gate?

Thanks.

You can probably do either I would imagine. I do know that you can buy at the gate and get the discount, we've done that before. We showed our DVC member card at the front gate and got the discount no problem.

Yes you can also purchase them at OKW when you check in, just have your membership card with you, Typhoon and blizzard are awesome water parks. :cool1:

Thanks for the replies!

We've not ever done a water park, so I was looking elsewhere on the boards to find out more about Typhoon Lagoon as well as what, as a 1st timer, do we need to know ahead of time to make things easier (like can you pick a chair, put your stuff on it and use it for "base camp" for the day, how is it spread out in terms of if the boys want to do one thing while DH and I want to do something else, can we separate easily and they can still find us afterwards, etc. ... they are 10 and 8 3/4). Pretty much anything a 1st timer would need to know.

But knowing I can get the tix ahead of time is a good start :) I saw that TL has EMH in the morning so I'm guessing that will let the kids do the things that have wait-times with less of a wait than later in the day - and goodness knows it is already HOT at 8 a.m. in July :)
