Water park benefit on check-in day and separate reservations

If the water park benefit on check-in day is still available in 2026, would the below scenario work?

I was just able to piece together a week trip for this coming January by booking two separate reservations. One is for 6 nights at bwv, but I was unable to get the 7th night, so right now, the 7th night is at akv. On the day we move from bwv to akv, would we be able to utilize the water park benefit? I would assume so, but then I’m wondering, couldn’t you possibly do 5 different 1 night reservations in a row and be able to go to the water parks for “free” every day (assuming you don’t mind the hassle of changing rooms everyday)?

If it goes forward, everytime you check into a new red. you get a c/I day park ticket.
January will be cold by Orlando standards. Water park will closed or limited during both Jan and Feb.

Did Disney announce that this benefit for next year would only be available in the summer? Or am I imagining that?

I don’t think they have announced dates yet, but I think people are speculating that the offer won’t be available during the winter because of the poor guest feedback from the water parks closing during the cold weather.

I was on property in January and I can’t remember if the waterpark was closed that day because of the cold weather but either way I wouldn’t have gone because it was simply too cold to be at waterpark for me

It was announced that the water park benefit will be for Summer 2026 only...they have not yet said what the actual dates will be.

What will be available for all reservations in 2026 is the free kids dining plan for kids 3 - 9 when adults purchase one....and those with DVC stays are eligible.

I got a survey regarding my upcoming stay in August. It was about the first day water park option.

Yes, I keep searching for an update on this! What counts as "summer" by Disney standards, lol 😅

I guess they still have to promote all the holiday stuff and early year festivals first, though.

The 2025 "summer" started on May 21. That doesn't help us since we plan to go in April. Being from NH we would swim at the end of April no problem.. And they say wait till 2026 for more information for planning. I am planning now.

I get it, it's annoying. I'm shocked that Disneyland hotels don't have information/pricing for anything in 2026 yet! We are visiting at the end of January for the DL race weekend, and even though we have offsite accommodations booked, I at least wanted the option to see how much the Disney-owned properties were going to be (out of budget, I'm sure 😅)

On my split stay the free water park day automatically popped up in MDE on both check in days. Hopefully they open it up to all year and you can go.
