Water Mice

Has anyone rented a water mouse? What are the rates? What about the motorized innertubes at CBR. Going June 10 - 17th and thought 5 yo would enjoy riding in water mouse on our off - day. Any thoughts or comments?

My husband rented one at Wilderness Lodge 3 weeks ago. It was $25-30 for 1/2 hour. I can't remember exactly.

Unfortunately, according to Allearsnet.com, the minimum age for the Sea Raycers (aka Water Mice, which is what I call them too)
see here is 12.

Sea Raycers -- small craft that can speed up to 22 mph. Minimum age is 12, height requirement is 5 feet. Combined maximum weight limit for all passengers is 320 pounds. All drivers under the age of 18 MUST have a parent or legal guardian sign a release. Drivers 18 years of age must provide ID with birth date. $24 per 1/2 hour.

I wonder if the age limit of 12 is to drive and not as a passenger? I thought it would be fun to speed around on the lake. Although 5yo wants to try parasailing My little dare-devil in training I'll just have to wait and check things out when we get there. Thanks for the info

At CBR, the age limit to "drive" is 12. Your daughter can ride with you. My DS14 had a lot of fun driving his DS11 around the lake at CBR in April 2004.

I think they have now changed the age to be able to drive to 16 & having a driver's license. However, you kids can ride with you. We did it in Jan 2006 & they kids loved it. DS8 rode with me & DS5 rode with DH. It was alot of fun for all of us!
