I have never driven a boat in my life! How hard is it to operate one of those little things? Is there anything I should know about them. They look like so much fun and since we are staying at the Poly I thought DS and I would try them!

I did not use one myself, but my son rented them twice when we were there in '99 and he was 17 and never driven a boat either. He enjoyed it and had no trouble, it looked pretty simple and the CM that worked at the GF where he rented them was very nice and showed him how to work it.

It's a must do for us everytime we go to Disney. It is very easy to do even if you have never driven a boat before. There's a throttle that you push forward to go and then steer. Go for it, it's a blast.

It is very..very.simple! When our son was 12 he had NO PROBLEMS operating it! The ones in the MK resorts seem to have a higher horsepower than others that we have checked out at WDW. Have a wonderful time!

Go for it and if you have a camera, bring it along! These boats are a load of fun, especially when you skip on some other boats wake! Oh, and they are pretty easy to drive.

We rented one of these last Monday. We had one hour--DH took DS for 20 min. and then DD#2 for 20 min., then I took DD#1 for 20 min. I could have taken up the whole hour easily!!!! It was a lot of fun and very easy.
