Watching the fireworks from the poly

We are going to Orlando soon and are going to be having dinner at Ohanas, and I was wondering can we walk down to the beach area and watch the fireworks after dinner? On this trip we are not going to disney world just going the the poly for dinner. Do you have to have park tickets or a room key to walk down and watch the fireworks?

You most certainly can walk down to the beach or the dock and watch both the water light parade and the fireworks!! Its great from down there! Have fun!

Is there a place to get drinks and take them down to the beach to watch the fireworks? What time does the parade come by if the fireworks are at 8?

You can get drinks at the Ohana Lounge....pretty sure you can take them to the beach, but I would confirm with the bar.

If I am not mistaken the electrical water parade comes by around 9.....you can check with guest services when you go in..they will be happy to assist!

In addition to the lounge by O'hana as the PP mentioned, you can also get drinks from the Barefoot Pool Bar. It's near the dock & doesn't close until the fireworks go off.

We do this every trip & no one has stopped us yet from taking Lapu Lapu's (the big drink in the pineapple) down to the beach. This is a pic from 2 weeks ago - it was so cold everyone was using pool towels as blankets!

Some friends and I did this just the other night, minus eating dinner at the Poly. We pulled up a couple of lounge chairs on the beach and enjoyed. The only time they really pay attention is say 4th of July.

We did this back in August...we had dinner at 'Ohana, set up on the beach and the kiddos played in the sand while I took pictures of Wishes. No room key or anything required...but this seems to be the norm at most public resort areas.
