Watching Spectro, then Wishes

I've been reading that Wishes is best viewed from in front of the castle. If we plan to watch Spectro and then stay for Wishes afterwards, is it best to just stake out a spot somewhere on Main Street and stay put? Or would it be better to watch Spectro from somewhere else and then make our way to the front of the castle for Wishes?

I know we'll need to stake out a spot for the parade well ahead of time, but I'm not sure what the proper protocol is for the fireworks. What does everyone suggest?

I wish I could remember exactly where we sat when we went. We sat on the curb and just stayed put for the fireworks. Actually I staked out our spot and hubby went and rode space mountain AGAIN. We were sort of across from tomorrowland entrance facing the castle on the parade route. We had a perfect view of tinks flight and the fireworks.

Wishes was more important to us than Spectro, so we really wanted to sit in front of the Castle -- GREAT decision for us! Just something about taking it all in right up front, great view of Tink flying and the Castle, WOW! Didn't want pictures with the Castle obstructed or side-views, and am very very happy with our photos!

We stood along Spectro's path, because it was very packed with folks and strollers, just found an opening near Tomorrowland not long before it began, and it was fine. Things emptied out after Spectro (10 PM Wishes is late for many little ones) and we were able to get good seats on Main Street in front of the Castle.

My DD and I caught Spectro over in Frontierland, then moseyed on over to Main St. to catch Wishes. Just move toward the middle of the street around the time for the fireworks to start. Right outside the ice cream shop is a good location. (OK, I just want the ice cream! )
