Has anyone done this? I'm thinking mainly for the FOF parade. Is the view really worth it? How soon should I get there? Thanks!

It's a prime spot for parade watching. Because of this you need to grab a spot early, from what I've read on other threads.

It's a great spot - we actually got stuck there during a parade once and walked right up on the steps and watched. There were very few people around, which surprised me since it was a great place to watch.

Same here, was surprised it was empty and found a seat. Also surprised I was at eye level with people on floats and they call out buttons they see.

We did it for the Main Street Electrical Parade and the view was great. We were there early though and got a good spot. It got rather crowded and people were jockeying for spots after a while. Sounds like the afternoon parade isn't as bad though.

We're not typically parade-goers, but we got stuck there once and it was a pretty good spot. There was hardly anyone there, but we go in the off season so it's probably crowded in busy seasons. The only thing was, we were up on the platform and, although you have a great view, I didn't feel like we interacted with the parade, since we were up above street level with a railing between us and the street. That was just my impression.

My girlfriend and I like to get to the train station about an hour and a half early. She grabs a seat and then I go to get dinner/snacks. We sit, eat, and relax and by the time we are done the parade/fireworks are about to begin. I like it because it's a lot more comfortable than sitting on the curb and it's a completely different perspective than craning your neck up to see all of the float!

I like to watch MK parades at the Fire Station or in Frontierland where they go into the fence. You rarely ever have to fight crowds.
