After a couple of days of taking car show breaks to visit VS, I just wanted to caution you to watch you receipts.

The first visit at store #1 on Thursday we were charged twice for one bra. I knew my daughter had bought pj pants, bras, undies, etc plus I bought a sweatshirt so I didn't question the total. When we got back to the hotel I double checked the receipts and asked her how many bras she bought & she only had two in the bag. So Saturday morning resulted in a trip BACK to this store. She refunded & apologized but it was an extra trip to that location.

Then we headed to Mall of America where there are two locations. At the north location we picked up 2 bras for me since there were finally some in my size! 1 @ 15.99 and one Ipex @ 24.99 and a few pairs of undies for me. Total 74.98 - HUH? I stopped her and made her pull the stuff back out of the bag. The Ipex rang up at forty-five dollars. So she corrected that one- bringing the total down considerably!!!

At the south location we found one more Ipex bra and some perfume stuff @ 75% off. Total was about $20 more than it should have been. I asked her if she could please check and see if everything rang up right since that was too high. Needless to say she rang up one of the two clearance valentine perfume sets twice so we were being charged for 3 of them!!!!

So PLEASE check your receipts against what your items are marked and what is in your bag.

To make things worse we were looking at the North location (#2 up above) and wanted some of the #2 perfume. They didn't have the larger size so the girl on the floor said to just run over to the cash register and the next available associate would call the other store so we didn't need to run to the other end to check (and its a long walk in MOA, LOL). So we go up to the counter where there was NO ONE waiting and 5 girls behind the counter. I politely explained and asked if they would please call the other location and was told NO. Sorry - they won't do that on the weekend and definitely not during the sale. (And the second part of that was said as if I were asking them to move the sun and the moon - not exceptionally sweet at all). I explained that their own associate indicated they would call for me and they still would not do it. I told them they really should train their floor people then.

By the time I got done I had a ton of bargains but boy did I have a bad taste in my mouth from them.

My daughter's friend had the same thing happen to her, she ended up making another trip back to the mall for a refund..

I know that the sale is their busiest time, but isn't it starting to sound just a bit fishy? I can't believe they would encourage their employees to 'make mistakes' on larger purchases. :sad2:

I am going to submit a letter through their website though - not so much with the ringing errors but with the deal about not calling the other store. That one just bothers me the way I was treated.

It happened to me too. At least 5 items rang up wrong on the 1st day of the sale, Including Bras and perfume. I caught it but I wonder how many dont!:confused3

This happens to me every sale. I HAVE to go w/o my kids because I have to stay on top of what the prices ring, because I swear the girls just scan it and don't look at what the tag says the price is. I usually have at least 2 items (and it was the IPEX bras last time too!) that ring a lot higher even though they are marked something else.

I AGREE! We always hit the sales and this time we were charged $41.99 for a $24.99 bra. We were also charged $5.99 for a $3.99 pair of panties. Luckily, we realized it when we got home, took the receipt back, and were given the difference. DOUBLE CHECK THEM!

I also had a bra that was supposed to be $20 that rang up for $30. I didn't catch it at the register. Luckily, I was with a friend who asked what my total was which made me realize that I was overcharged. I was able to turn right back around and get my refund.

I understand that sometimes things get put into the system wrong, but with this being such a common occurrence maybe VS should check their prices a little more. :confused3 While I will forgive the occasional price problems, the customer service the OP received regarding the call to the other store was ridiculous. But then there's bad customer service everywhere...

I can't believe it! I read this post the other day, so it was in the back of my mind, but I went to buy a bra at the sale and what do you know! I was double charged! The lady said that they were mismarked, but that she would re-ring it with the mismarked price. I ALMOST missed it. My husband is the one that caught it actually.
Watch those sales everyone! I can't believe this seems to happen so much.

This is not just a VS problem. Please call back the lynch mob. Anytime you buy somehting with just a little price sticker (or hand written markdowns) and not a bar code there is always a chance for a mistake.

I am amazed at how many people just blindly sign charge receipts. At the grocery I watch every item being scanned.

I don't think anyone was trying to form a "lynch mob" against VS. You're right. This is not just a VS problem. It happens everywhere. It's just currently happening at the VS stores during the big sale. The OP was just warning those of us on the boards to make sure we check our receipts. The rest of us were just giving examples as to why the receipts should be checked; thereby, supporting the OP's warning.

Yup! Just happened to me at mine on Saturday and that night as I was checking the receipt and lo and behold charged for 3 bras and I only bought 2, charged for 2 perfumes and I only bought 1. I had to go back to the store and it was a pain in the butt. The store was sooo busy and between the body section and the bra section, they had only 1 register open and the line was enormous

YET there were about 6 salespeople asking all of us in line if we wanted to sigh up for their CC. :sad2:

What bothers me most is the double ringing up of items. There is something definitely wrong with the frequency of which this is occurring. I am a moderately suspicious person anyway, LOL but you would almost swear they were telling their employees to try to run thru extra items if it was super busy in the hope that the customer doesn't notice!!! I did email thru the VS website but they had to forward it to the store site. I did receive this email response:

I think they PLAN on making so much profit from the sale from the people who DON'T catch the mistakes.......that's how they can afford to have the sale.:confused3
I can see something ringing up incorrectly......but too many people seem to be getting charged for an extra item........sounds fishy to me.

Call the customer relations department - I bought some Rapture perfume recently and it smelled old - alcohol-ish. Took it back and called customer relations (got the number from the store). They apologized AND sent me a 30% coupon for my next purchase.
