Ok TR. I wasnt going to do one but Nicole aka Nicole786 pressured me into doing one. And warning I tend to ramble. LOL. You have been warned.
Cast:
Me (Kim) 29 years old. From NJ. Last time I was at Disney was for Super Soap Weekend in 2003 and we did not get to the parks then. (A friendly tip for those doing Disney while Super Soap Weekend is going on do NOT do MGM studios cause that is where the event takes place on Saturday and Sunday and it is always crowded. SSW takes place in November) I love everything Disney and my favorite characters are Eeyore and Ariel. I have learned that I cherish the trips more with my friends then my family.
Tigger and Me from The Disney Store in NYC 1/07
Jen: 21 years old. From MA. On Spring Break from college. She gets 2 weeks off. Heck when I was in college we only got one. She is studying to become a teacher.
Michelle: Early 30s (She would kill me if I posted her age LOL) From NC. She is a teacher and she was glad to get away from her 3rd graders. She could only take 2 days off without being questioned so she had to fly down on Thursday.
Lisa: 20s. She lives in FL so she decided to treat us to dinner and desert on Saturday.
I met Michelle and Jen cause of this guy:
And if you can guess where it was taken you win a prize.

My flight wasnt leaving till 11 am but of course I was up at my usually 5 am. Usually I wait till the night before to pack and well I was done on the weekend. I was so proud of myself. I dont think this will every happen again. My co-worker was going to Las Vegas the same day I was and was not packed Tuesday when we left work. Of course, I kept teasing her that I was packed and was getting the oh shut up comment all day long. I told my mom that we were leaving for the airport at 8 am but she mistakenly thought I said 9 am. I threw on a sweatshirt since it was around 70s and I wasnt thinking I would need to wear a jacket on the way home. So at 8:05 I was like lets go and she was like why are we leaving so early. It takes a good 45 minutes to get to Newark airport and if you hit traffic on the NJ Turnpike you are basically screwed. Finally, after we loaded the car, one suitcase to check in, a laptop bag, and camera case that were coming on the plane we were ready. I had the boarding pass in my purse and I have to tell you it is very freaky that I know my one pass number better then my social security number. I got to the airport by 9 am and went to check in. Continental has a hub in NJ and the continental.com bag check line was long. Luckly, I was there early enough. This poor guy who was in front of me had 30 minutes to get through that line and then security. And Continental was having all their customers go through 1 security checkpoint but if you were rushed you were not going to make the plane. What part of everyone has to take their shoes off do people not understand. People try to get their kids through without taking the shoes off. Ughh. I always have my laptop in my hands and my sneakers untied. I am thinking next time I should just wear sandals. But then again it was freezing cold, well I was. Finally got through security and went to find my gate. Of course, I have all my junk and the back of my shoe was digging into my heel and couldnt stop cause there were to many people behind me so I had to keep walking. Of course, my plane was at Gate 74 at Newark Airport. The continental gates are all in terminal C and of course it was the farthest one from security. We finally boarded the plane and I got a lady who was flying for the 1st time next to me. The airline put her daughter and son in other seats. Her daughter was sitting one row behind us and on the other side of the plane and her son was behind her daughter. She felt so bad that she wasnt sitting by her daughter but the family next to her kept her entertained. She asked me which was worse taking off or landing. Well, I said taking off for me (I get ear splitting pain when I take off or land) it is not so much for other people. At Newark, when they say your plane leaves at 11 am that means you are pulling back from the gate at 11 am. I am use to it since I fly out of there every single time. Continental gave us free headsets on the way down. Apparently it is part of the trip to Orlando. Wow I am shocked the airline gave out something free. We actually had a snack, which was a little turkey sandwich, raw carrots, and a little bag of M&Ms. I turned on my DVD player and just conked out. On the descent, I took a few pictures.
Here's one:
I finally get off the plane in Orlando and cannot find the DME. I couldnt figure out where to go so I called Jen to ask where the DME is. Well, she had the same problem. I didnt realize you had to go to the main terminal then down to baggage claim to find them. The lady from DME had a clipboard that just said Disney Magical Express. No white glove or anything. I went down to the line for DME. I found Jen you dont know how excited I was to find here. I havent seen her since we were in LA in July 2006. We got onto line and Jen said they were only allowing 1 person from the reservation to get on line. I told her since she had her reservation ticket in her hand to get online with me. Michelle was coming in on Thursday so we asked them to make sure it said that. Jen had called 3 times to confirm this when we were making the reservations cause we didnt want to Michelle to have problems. It was so nice not to have to wait for the luggage at the airport. Mine always seems to be the last out. The Disney person scanned our tickets and then got into line 1. No one was on the line for our hotel. It was nice. The bus pulled up and the CM had to walk us out to the bus. We got on the bus, which was pretty full already and found a spot to sit together. They showed the video but I was a little to excited to pay attention. After awhile we got to see the welcome sign to Disney. I seriously wanted to cry cause I was all giddy. It always makes me smile which I was greatful for (I work in a nursing home and sometimes the residents drive me nuts). First they stopped at the All Star Sports, then it was our hotel, All Star Music. When I was here last time this is where I stayed. I went to the front desk and checked in and got the welcome packet (which I took home so I can scrapbook). I was expecting to be in the back of the property but they gave us the Jazz Inn Building 9, which was pretty close to the front. We were on the 3rd floor Room 9655 and I was so glad to be on the 3rd floor cause there was cheerleaders and dancers around the hotel the whole time we were there and some of them were a bit noisy. We went to the room and here is what greeted us:
We went to the food court to get our $11.99 mug and food since we had barely eaten all day. I had a burger and fries and a root beer. I have to say the $11.99 mug was so worth it due to the fact that I kept filling up and a normal drink cost $2.00. I so recommend getting the cup. I saw all the washcloths animals that people had in their windows and told Jen we didnt get one. Jen turned to be and said yes we did. As we went back, she point out the 2 birds in the window. Of course, I had to take a picture of them.
Jens luggage got there in about 2 and a half hours and mine well took almost 3 and a half. I called Michelle that night and told her not to tag her luggage since she was getting in at 9 pm and it would take awhile for her to get the luggage. We just hung around and did nothing that night. I changed into my eeyore PJs (yes they had to be Disney themed). It was so nice to still be in the same time zone. Usually, I am flying out to CA. I think I fell asleep at 10 pm.
