When we were at WDW a couple of weeks ago, we noticed several people pulled over getting tickets and the cab driver told us there have been a lot of speed traps inside the property lately (we took a cab from Grand Floridian to Boardwalk). He told us the speed limit is never more than 50 mph, and is lower than that in a lot of places.

It's been happening for quite a while. It is amazing when you are going 50 how many people pass you like they are on a racetrack. It's about time people got tickets for speeding on Disney property.

We were stopped right after we came off the highway. The speed limit on property is 45 mph. Slow way down after coming off the highway because we were barely over the speed limit and we were stopped. We never even saw a sign stating the speed limit.

This has been going on for a while and it is at the request of WDW. There were quite a few accidents and they had to do something. The funny part is that when they examined the pattern of tickets written, the majority were for florida residents and employees. You will notice now how the buses have slowed down.
