I'm so glad the kiddos are healthy and that Matt is over his stye! Dan had a bad eye infection a couple of weeks ago and had to stay home from work because it was contagious. No contacts for a week either. Too bad I wasn't home b/c I think he's so cute in his glasses!

I had to laugh and cry both at the reaction to the Disney commercials. I'm so glad your kids love Disney and the reveal will be that much sweeter because they want it so much! Can't wait to see the reactions. Bless their little hearts!

YES!!! In the booklet i am making them I have a picture of them in the Poly from their first trip. So they will think we are staying there again! I love making surprises!!!

Hello all my favorite people in all of Disney!

I have been working hard on the kids Binders. which are coming out really cute..
Like anyone creative - as you start with something the creative juices just starts to bleed out of you to the keyboard..

That's exactly what is happening!!! Starting out with their itinerary.. then going into fun stuff for them to do as we either drive or fly.



I have a couple of questions for you!

FP+
I heard they are allowing for more! But you have to stop somewhere to add them?!?

Are the parades in MK part of the fastpass system?
I am trying to learn everything i can.

New photopass thing: Need to read on this too.. Not 100% i understand how it isn't a CD anymore? are there different packages?

156 days.... Feels like years...

I am on the hunt for crafting supplies.. i have several ideas for things. I just hope i CAN make them all...

Our Epic Dis meet is next month!!! Let me tell you THERE IS A LOT of fun stuff in store!!!!
I cannot wait for it all!!!

I have to buy a new cord for the Olympus point and shoot camera.. i give up on trying to find the dang thing.

Then! hem a pair of pants today... which means pulling out the sewing machine.. Which means i have too you tube in how to get it too work. I promise to post pictures of what this will look like.

I need to concentrate on Easter right now!!!! How did that sneak up on me?!?! I hope to get everything i need done tomorrow..

Sister and I are FINALLY going to join the gym today... Yeah how long ago did we say we were going to do this???
Finally today is our day. i do need to get into shape for Disney!!!
I don't want to look like a slob in pictures.. and would like to wear a bathing suit that doesn't look like this:



I may have to learn this sewing machine to make it...

OK, let me see if I can answer your questions.

1. FP+ changes. I don't think anything is definite yet but from what I've read so far, yes you will be able to add additional FP+ but only after you use your first three and you will have to go to a kiosk in order to add another one. Sounds like you can have as many as you want but need to go back to the kiosk after each one to add another. Two things I don't like about this. Number one, the huge lines I saw at the kiosks. I really don't want to wait in a long line to find that the only thing available is Captain EO which is problem number two, availability of rides later in the day. If they change it so you can add additional through the app on the phone, I think it might be ok. I've also read that they may make some acommodations for park hopping so you can have FP+ for more than one park.

2. FP+ for parades. I know for sure that they have one for MSEP but I'm not sure about the 3 o'clock parade. The FP basically just gets you preferred seating but I haven't read too much about whether the seating is worth it. I tried FP+ for Fantasmic last October and while it was nice to not have to get there hours early for a seat, the seating was way off to one side and not the best.

3. Photopass/Memory Maker - the only thing you can pre-purchase right now is Memory Maker which is $149. With Memory Maker, you get all of the regular PP pictures, ride photos plus I think some of the character meals. You can pre-purchase up to 3 days before the trip. The purchase is done through your My Disney Experience and is linked directly to your Magic Band. The photographers just scan the band after taking the pictures. For the ride photo, you just remember the number and go to the photo desk to pick it up. I took a picture of the ride photo so I had the number when I went to the desk. After the trip, you can add boarders and then download directly to your computer. I found this very simple and easy to figure out and I'm not the most computer savy. I think you might be able to order a CD but it costs more, maybe an additional $30.

You can still do regular PP CD afterwards but there is no pre-purchase and I it costs $169 and does not include ride photos and character meals.

The kiosks were insane when we were there in March for the FP+, but as another poster indicated, they've not changed how off-site guests do it so it might not be so bad.

I know nothing about the new Memory Maker and I am thinking of skipping it this trip. I have time to figure that out.

I haven't read a book in about two years. I just don't have the energy to keep my eyes open so I can't help you there.

Sigh... these FP+ changes are irking me. If they have happened by the fall... what I dont like is that my strategy right now is do some attractions in the AM before its crowded and save my FP+ for late in the day when its hotter and lines are longer. With the changes you have to use your first 3 FP's first before you can go to a kiosk and add more. But my issue is what if I want to guarantee I have that FP for late in the evening, say Dumbo at night to ride while its dark, or even MSEP or Wishes or something... basically I can not get any other FP's bc my three wont be used up until super late... or I could take the risk and make my FP's earlier but may not get what I want late in the day... sight.

Anyhow, that is my thought on that... but about seeing the FP+ eligible rides you can go to Easywdw or touring plans and see which rides are FP+ eligible and the tiers at HS and EP.

Memory maker basically is the Photopass+ with a new name. You still get the selected character meal photos, in which you will get the file and a hard copy at that time, and you get the ride photos too. The only difference is that with MM you can get your photos immediately on the My Disney Experience app or through the computer, you dont have to wait for the CD and then you dont get a CD anymore, you have 45 days to download all the photos yourself and get them on your computer.

All your happenings sound good, no crazy stuff this week, huh?

Disney books- well my fave is the unofficial guide, the Disney characters encyclopedia, any old disney books (we found a fun photo one, one time) and the hidden mickeys book, though this time I plan to download the app because its easier to carry around in line when you are bored and you can look for hidden mickeys!

I love the hidden mickey book. My thought on this was:
1.) if they lose a book i won't be too upset. If they lose my phone or kindle or tablet i may lose it.
2.) they can share a book without damaging my technology
3.) they can carry the book. I don't trust them with my technology

So i will probably buy the book.. Put it in the big box of surprises.. I did go shopping this weekend...

I'm glad Ariana answered most of your FP+ questions and Jennifer supplied the afternoon parade info. I really think there are so many kinks in this new FP system that they'll be tweaking it for some time to come. Fixing one aspect of it ruins another! I do hope it gets better. I love picking them ahead (didn't think I would) but I really liked the old fp system with the tickets. I would be willing to pay extra for fp privileges all day. I think they do that at Universal? Anyway, all these questions make it hard to plan!!

As for books, I love the Unofficial Guide and buy it every couple of years. You can get it at the library too. I also love Disney World Trivia book and the Disney A to Z Encyclopedia. But you can't beat All ears and a couple other websites for up to date reliable info.

I also want to encourage you to get to the gym. Losing weight aside, working out (especially with machines) strengthens your body in a way that aerobic exercise can't. That was the biggest benefit I got from it when I was doing it. I too plan to get back to the gym now that my lengthy trips to Virginia a done. At least for now.

Is this turning into a single family trip now??? I didn't realize that was maybe a possibility.
