Hang in there Mo. Looks like we will be also be looking for another car in the not too distant future too. Charlie's car is just not cutting it and he's afraid to drive it to Allentown (about 2 hours away), so he's been renting a car - at least he can write that expense off on his expense account.

I'm not coming to Chicago with Shannon next week. There is absolutely no room in her car for a passenger and I refuse to be tied to the roof. I am coming in May though

We took Ringo (the min pin) to the vets on Monday for his check up and shots. One of the receptionists told us that he absolutely is not a min pin but is a teacup chihuahua because he looks just like her dog. The person we got him from said he was a min pin, but what do we know?
He looks like a min pin to me, except he is exceptionally small - only about 7.5 lbs.

Then he is a mini pin.. Don't let people tell you what it is unless you have the DNA test done.. BTW there is no such thing as a tea cup anything. ANYTHING. all it is for lack of a better word the "runt" of any litter. I hate when people say they have a tea cup anything, put it up against the breed it really is and see the size difference.. hardly any difference..

I'm back from my trip and slowly catching up on everyone's TRs & PTRs. Poor Lex! There's nothing worse than when one of our babies, two legged or four, is hurting. Oh and those cones of shame! I am very familiar with those babies. As a matter of fact I have quite the collection in one of my closets.

I am SOOOOOOOOOO glad your back!!! Your pictures on Facebook were AMAZING!!! I am not going to spoil anything but i now want to get remarried in Disney... maybe even still to Tom! just kidding..
Yes.. It was horrible on my "little" man will do an update on him..

We had a mouse at the beginning of last winter in our basement/family room. I put DH in charge of getting rid of it, sans rat poison... he bought the traps put them around the basement. When I finally looked at them, I threw them all away since they were "child safe/pet safe" traps with poison. Well I thought that I threw them all away, but he had put one in the laundry room behind the water heater, a room that almost always stays closed. But of course someone left the laundry door open and our Husky got it, tore the housing apart and ate the poison while I was at work. A good friend of mine is a vet. nurse and she called animal poison control with me.

There is no antidote for the type of poison it was, and it affects dogs neurologically. LUCKILY, the amount that was in the trap was minuscule and our dog is over 75lbs and was showing no ill affects. We still had to turkey baste peroxide into her mouth to induce vomiting, but we were extremely lucky that she didn't end up with neurological damage or worse! DH is no longer allowed to buy mouse traps! His response... "It said pet safe!"

Oh boy.... I am so glad she didn't get ANY of the side affects!!! Holy cow that is scary!!!!

Yeah - pet safe! unless they eat it....I had a mouse problem a couple of years ago and set out plastic traps with peanut butter in them (no poison). Well apparently I didn't set one back far enough and one of my cockers got it and ripped that thing apart to get to the peanut butter! You wouldn't even have recognized it as a mouse trap!

Where to start?
Thursday. lets just start here and see how we do.
I took the day off to take Lex to the vet for the check up on his leg. Thet removed the tubes! the doc said he looks great but because he is a contortionist even with the cone of shame on he can STILL get to the bottom of the stitches. I got a cream to help.
on the way home.


I found Tom a car on the web site thats kind of like a yard sale on the internet.
it's in Aurora. about an hour & half away.
It's also SO FOGGY out you can't see more then 100 feet in front of you. it's raining. a lot. which means MORE FOG. and less visibility.
All the way there i am thinking THIS BETTER BE WORTH IT! thankfully it was and we brought home a 98 Toyota corolla.

Friday! Was the cutest man int eh worlds Birthday! My Step DAD!!! I just love this guy!! He has treated me as a daughter forever and really stepped up and took care of me when my dad was killed in a motorcycle when i was 17. a 17 year old girl who just lost her dad is not easy to deal with. He stepped up and really helped me with EVERYTHING. he is such a wonderful human. i love him to pieces.
Did i see him on his birthday? Nope. But i called. BECAUSE!
after i got home from picking up the kids running around to leave again for VOLLEYBALL practice, after practice i look down at Lex...
His leg is TOTALLY SWOLLEN. looking more closely i notice he is even more swollen from his inner thigh ALL the way down to his toes!

of course pictures aren't showing how bad it was.
Tom ran him to the vet while i had to pack up Logan and kids to run to dog training!!!

this is the class doing a 3 minute down stay! Logan is in there somewhere.
Tom stopped at training to pick up the kiddos and said we have to put hot compresses on and keep him from moving for 24hrs....
excuse me?
we cannot leave him alone.
WHAT? are we going to hog tie this monster?!?! How do you keep him laying down?!?!
well we did what we could. and thankfully as of today all the swelling is pretty much gone!!! I was impressed.

Saturday morning was:

yep our playoff game! i was a NERVOUS WRECK!!!
all our practicing and all my yelling paid off. WE WON!!! in 2 games! WE ARE GOING TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!! this weekend!!!
I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO proud of these girls. they have worked SO hard to get this far!!! GREAT group of girls!!!
Then i had to work job #2. Tom and midgets went to my parent's house for cake!!! WITHOUT ME! on the way home i was going to stop there. I called. He's asleep... i went home.
We watched the muppets go to Disney world.. it was adorable..
Sunday:
did NOT have to go to work! i paid bills and had some help:




so what do you do when you don't have to work? YOU GO TO THE DISNEY STORE! Matt has been wanting this HUGE perry for a couple of months he was able to get him finally. Meg has a simba (another one) and Zack got a planes toy set thing with a helicopter that rotates. (i cannot want to see stevie with this) a friend of mine came along and he needed the animal stuffy.. i bought it for him. we got home about 5:30 watched incredibles then MU came on.. I just LOVE Art. He CRACKS ME UP!
fell on my face woke up late this morning!

i was in such an argument with myself.. change resorts? or keep it??
talking to Nicole she kinda of helped.
reading everything i can on the construction going on i was SCARED!
but she pointed to me Capt Cooks refurb is going on in March will be completed in SUMMER. well that leads me to believe it will be completed and reopened by sept!!!!
the GCH. same thing starting refurb in March. hopefully will also me completed.
The Nanea volcano pool will be closed. the possibility of them adding a slide to the quiet pool.
so yes it is both crazy yet doable!!!
we are staying put.

I am 195 days out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I did some (more) research on the 2 dog breeds. He definitely is NOT a pure-bred chihuahua, nor is he a a pure-bred min pin. Pretty sure he is a mix of both. He is too small to be a pure minpin and he has a lot of white on his face, chest and legs, but he has a minpin build and a minpin face- more so than a chihuahua. He does have the trachea issues that chihuahuas are prone to have. He coughs and wheezes sometimes and it scares the daylights out of me, but the vet said that helps to open his trachea when it starts to collapse.

I too agree that the construction should be mostly completed by the time of your trip. Plus, maybe the resort won't be so crowded if folks are trying to avoid the construction. You will have a great stay!

So much more going on...

I tried to call Disney yesterday yet it wasn't in the cards! work got in the way! then the kids would NOT leave me alone to make the call!!! geesh.

Lex: Friday he goes back the the vest to have his stitches removed!!! I can't wait.. My dogs SMELL. they need baths. all of them. i have the waterless shampoo they only goes so far. it's time for a SOAK!!!

The kids i think had an inkling they were going this year for their birthday...
So i had to do damage control. Meg i think started the conversation... How much longer until Sept? i said 6 months. OH GOOD Disney is getting close!
Umm No you have a year and 6 months.. they said I know i just wish this birthday comes quick for when we turn 11!
crisis averted. they believe we are going in 2015..
So when i am doing some Disney stuff at home they are thinking it is for next year.

their favorite park? EPCOT! yeah i was shocked too.

do when we do our 18 hour drive we will be heading to Epcot.. First stop? Duffy. if not.. Meg may throw me off the test track ride...

from there we wonder.. there are going to be a TON of firsts in Epcot this year. LOTS more exploring!!!

then we will be dead tired for driving 18 hours straight head back to the Poly have dinner at Ohana..
