Watch out Dumbo, There's a bigger Circus coming to Town...Triplets take on the World

My cousin surprised us with matching tie-dye shirts this past trip (post pictures later when I get home). They were really cute and bright! I can find out how she did them if you want. Then she just used a transfer to put our names on the front.

we're doing it at your house...

Mom made several t-shirts for our trip, she used iron ons for a couple. You can get some that you can print images onto from the computer and then iron on the t-shirt. that would be cool with all the stuff you have you could probably do a great one!!!

Plus there is a company called Celebration shirts. We ordered some with the CSR logo before we changed resorts, they personalize and have a facebook page. I will be ordering some more from them, especially since we are staying at POR now:rotfl:

when did that happen?? i love all your creations!!! your trip is what 8 months off?

Tie dye shirts can be fun - the same yet every one is a bit different. Of course, the ones I did last year did NOT turn out very well. Believe it or not, I never did tie dye before. Now I know why - they are just awful.

First day for us is always MK... we will have dinner at Tony's more than likely that night.

Check your pms, please.

i just love the dickens out of you...

Ack! You are knee deep into planning, and well - I've barely started. My 180 is before you... Sigh...

Yes, I think you could put the jar out... You could always say that you put it away when you were cleaning, and can't remember where the "safe" spot is. I do that all the time - but it's true. LOL

Love the restaurants you won't budge on - I think they are perfect! You are missing breakfast at CP... Otherwise - they are great!

Love your ideas for costumes... the 7 dwarves would be awesome! And super easy to pull off... Extral HUGE tees... and if you could find someone to make the dwarf hats... Easy to pack and easy to wear. I really like it!

Missed all of my Dis friends this weekend, but super happy to come back and see so much planning done - it really gets me in the mood.

D~

I like the idea of the Disney jar too. Once you've collected enough money, you could buy the gift cards and put them in the jar, or put them in a "safe" place, so when the jar is empty, the kids would not worry about it. That way it could be empty right before your trip and it wouldn't raise any questions.

I like the idea of the Mickey Mouse Club costumes. I considered those for us last year, but Charlie wanted to play pirates! I was thinking about a Frozen princess dress for me and Olaf for Charlie - he is ok with that - he thought I'd make him be Swen....:rotfl2:

i didn't have a family emergency either..
as soon as we booked i was OFF TO THE RACES!!! and still am...

your right... Between Tom and i we are always putting things 'away'
so that might work... if anything i can always blame Tom! :rotfl:

That would be fine with me too.. My only thought on this is how many TS can we have in MK?

thought it would be cute!!! there are only 6 kids... and i wouldn't mind being the hag! :rotfl:
Absolutely want something that we will not be sweating and uncomfortable in..

Missed all of my Dis friends this weekend, but super happy to come back and see so much planning done - it really gets me in the mood.
D~

SOOOOOOOOO glad your back. Meg put the home movies in again yesterday. so it was easy to start talking about stuff with her!!! I love it..

is there ever enough money?!?! :confused3
The kids get GC all the time for birthdays and such so it's not going to be hint we will be going!
Their Birthday party this year is going to be difficult..

I like the idea of the Mickey Mouse Club costumes. I considered those for us last year, but Charlie wanted to play pirates! I was thinking about a Frozen princess dress for me and Olaf for Charlie - he is ok with that - he thought I'd make him be Swen....:rotfl2:

I have GOT TO SEE Charlie as Olaf... we are going to the same MNSSHP right? which dress will you make? i love them all.. although i would love to see what you would come up with as a Sven costume...

I do like the original MM club idea. it's easy! tee shirt and black shorts mickey ears for everyone. it's cool and comfortable.
I want to be Chubby!!! HA HA HA HA HA HA

so we are talking 4 adults and 6 kids..

Alice and Wonderland?

Marvel Comics characters More for Chris!!!

star wars

Willie Wonka

crayons!

I don't know thinking about Halloween when there is snow on the ground in January doesn't seem right.. So i think we will put this on the back burner for the time being. I am still loving the original MMC

UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH....I got squished in the middle and you missed my post. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

:dance3:Hey there! Planning is in full swing for you and I love it. Your excitement just oozes out of the screen. I'm pretty excited for our trip...just 21 days away!

I love the idea of the MMclub costumes. Since it will be super hot, that might be the best way to go. I don't know about your crew, but I get all kinds of cranky when I'm wearing something that makes me too hot. Just ask Dan! Say, you and your crew and Tess and Charlie can ALL be MM Club members. How cool would that be?? But you're right, you have a ton of time to figure it out.

We always do MK the first and last day of our stay no matter how long or short it is. Having said that, we are going to AK our first day with Charlotte because it will only be a 1/2 day and I'm not willing to do MK half way for her. Since we're staying after she goes home, we can always go back to AK for what we miss, if anything. I love your must do ADR plans too. My new favorite is BOG. And if you want to do lunch there, don't be put off by the long line. It builds up because people (me included) get in line 1/2 hour before it opens. Once that initial crowd gets through, the CMs tell me it flows fairly quickly. There are TONS of tables in the 3 rooms: the ballroom, the west wing and the rose gallery. But I guess the rose gallery isn't open for lunch? Not sure about that. But we eat lunch there multiple times when we're there. Love it!

Okay, gotta scoot! I'm almost finished getting my Christmas things put away and my house back in order. I just have the dishes and glasses to take care of. I love that Tom is getting into the planning too. Also, love the idea of the $ jar. When you take it, you could always ask them if they did anything with it, and if so, to bring it back.:rolleyes1 Also, are going to board your animals? If so, how will you justify that? Inquiring minds want to know!

Have a magical day!pixiedust:

Mo, I'm sorry I'm a little behind. Didn't get on this weekend and things have been hectic with family stuff.

I am so happy that you are booked. That is just awesome!

The planning can really get moving now. I like most of your "can't delete this restaurant." Too funny that hubby is looking at menus too.

I've not heard anyone who has used the new Memory Maker thing yet (they tried selling it to us in December but I'd already purchased the Photopass + for that trip).

UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH....I got squished in the middle and you missed my post. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

You were on my mind all weekend too! Hope everything is getting better for you!

Yeah how did you squeak in there without me noticing!!!
I have been looking and it seems to me that the Memory maker replaced PP+??
i am on the look out now about all this.. You know me and my pictures! MORE the merrier!!! The TR is going to be outrageously heavy with pictures! :rotfl2:

I am also shopping for a new lens.... just for the Disney trip!!!
I have issues..

Yes Tom is so into the planning this time!! I am SHOCKED!

I'm always playing catch up after the weekends!

I saw your post about Memory Maker and all I can say is I'll let you know! I've ordered it for the February trip and think I understand how to use it. :confused3 I think it is just like the PP+ that I had in February except you use your Magic Band instead of a card. But then I did get a card in the mail after I ordered. I was able to link the card to my MB so I don't think I'll need it. Of course I will bring it along just in case!

:dance3:Hey there! Planning is in full swing for you and I love it. Your excitement just oozes out of the screen. I'm pretty excited for our trip...just 21 days away!

you stuck a reply in here too!!!

WOOOOH OOOOOOOOO 21 days!!! I really cannot wait to hear all about it!!!

I love the idea of the MMclub costumes. Since it will be super hot, that might be the best way to go. I agree fully i am not a good heat person.. at all.. so the less of a costume we all can wear and still look like we have costumes the better.
yep ::yes:: tons of time to figure this all out!

I love your must do ADR plans too.

thank you!!! Yes i think MK the first day is a must. otherwise your just not paying the necessary attention to the other parks, your mind is just on the castle! :rotfl2:

My new favorite is BOG. And if you want to do lunch there, don't be put off by the long line. It builds up because people (me included) get in line 1/2 hour before it opens. But I guess the rose gallery isn't open for lunch? Not sure about that. But we eat lunch there multiple times when we're there. Love it!

this is good to know.. I think dinner is must! want to meet the Lord of the castle!

Christmas?!?! Your putting CHRISTMAS away?!?! i couldn't wait to get my house to normal!!! :rotfl:
Yep Tom and his eating! This is very important to him...

Nope i have someone come and stay at our house to watch the animals! can you imagine the $$ it would be to board my crew?!?
Much cheaper to have someone stay at the house.. I have a couple of people willing to house sit for me.. :woohoo:

Yep i have a huge jar at home we will put out for lose change and singles we can start adding to it now. :thumbsup2

Have a magical day!pixiedust:

YOU TOO MY FRIEND!!!

*********************************************************

Yesterday after the baseball meeting, We took Jen home. Unfortunately we had to drive another home, and we couldn't really talk about our trip.. But we did talk Disney! the other who we took home found out about our trip and we found out he has been there over 7 times! he is NOT what you would consider a Disney person and i about fell out of the car when he said he was... Just goes to show you EVERYONE loves Disney.. Yes Ariana even Jim.. :lmao:
She and Tom bickered back and forth about dining and Jen said SHE is picking the restaurants... it was funny... I was able to get a couple important details to her.
we need to go to dinner or something AWAY from children. and somewhere i can take my laptop and not look too out of place. :confused3

I was researching photography with Disney today... there isn't much out there that i hadn't already knew.. BUT i do want a new lens to go to Disney with.. a wide angle.. we shall see Mother's day AND my birthday are both coming up... :woohoo:

Now is the time to get my excel sheets in order and send over to Jen. she is going to flip...

I was texting with Nicole today.. and for the life of me cannot figure out how we did the reg dining plan and didn't need that extra meal.. My kids eat.. A LOT.. so this is really confusing to me... unless we do a early dinner?!?! I have no idea.. something else i need to go and figure out...

ALSO has anyone watched the Great Christmas Light Fight?!?! IF you can see if you can get the final episode which i think is this ------> WATCH ME

amazing Mickey display!!!!

going to do my sheets now!!!

I'm always playing catch up after the weekends!

I saw your post about Memory Maker and all I can say is I'll let you know! I've ordered it for the February trip and think I understand how to use it. :confused3 I think it is just like the PP+ that I had in February except you use your Magic Band instead of a card. So do you believe it took the place of PP+???
glad you will have more advice once you've used it! I want to have the ride pictures and the character meals as well!!! i NEED THEM!!!

Ok....so much I want to comment on, but its so hard on my phone :(

Arrival day tradition for us is this:
Our flight gets in at 10:30, so by the time we are usually checking in about lunch time. We grab a quick lunch in the resort QS spot then head to MK.
Arriving at MK at mid day is not great for lines, but we know this and just want to walk down Main Street and tell the Castle we have arrived. We always ride the PeopleMover since it gives a nice nostalgic feel and gives newbies an overview of TomorrowLand.
Then we just walk around and soak it up until about 3pm.
At that point we hop on the monorail and go over to Epcot. I usually have a dinner ADR at Via Napoli, but maybe the princess meal at Akershus would be good (much cheaper than CRT) for you guys.
Arriving at Epcot around 3:30-4:00 gives us a little time to ride the short line rides like SSE and Figment on our way over to WS.
We can usually get a couple countries in before our ADR.
Then, when staying at the Poly, we would head back and watch the Water Parade and Wishes from the beach before heading to bed.
Semi early night after traveling, but we get a lot accomplished and get to say "We've Arrived!" to my two favorite parks :)

Ok. I will comment on the rest when I get to a real computer because multi-quote doesn't work well on this little phone ;)

I really don't have anything to contribute as far as advice or wisdom...I think my brain is in cruise mode. :boat: :rotfl2: I am very excited that REAL planning is finally happening for you! :cool1: You all are going to have the BEST TIME!!!! Oh, the craziness that will ensue...gonna be a great TR for sure! popcorn::

Frank is doing very well in the nursing home. He is in his second room, it's a little bigger, and his third roommate......lol long story but he get's along with this guy so that's good. Had his two week post surgery check up yesterday. they changed some of his meds and called the nursing home because they had some questions seems like the nursing home wasn't giving him 2 of his meds so that is straightened out now. So he is on the road to recovery.

On the Disney side of things Raina and I moved our date up a week.....lol
24sept-5oct still 12 days, 11nights.

Somewhere you can take your puter and not look out of place , anymore I would say any coffee shop or restaurant like Applebees business men are always on their comps in there.

So do you believe it took the place of PP+???
glad you will have more advice once you've used it! I want to have the ride pictures and the character meals as well!!! i NEED THEM!!!

Yes, it definitely took the place of PP+. I went to preorder PP+ for the trip and it was gone! Had I checked a day or two earlier I could have still ordered it but instead ended up going with Memory Maker. You still get all of the ride photos and dining photos that were included on PP+. As far as I can tell the main differences are:

1. You use your Magic Band instead of having to pick up a card when you get to the parks. Like I said before I did get a card in the mail and am not sure why I need it.
2. You can order MM up to 3 days before your trip and still get the discounted rate. PP+ had to be ordered at least 2 weeks ahead of time.
3. It doesn't sound like you can get a CD mailed to you any more. You link MM to your MDE account and download the pictures directly from there. Good thing is, you can download more than once which will be nice for me because I can let other family members download them directly so I don't have to e-mail to them.

The main thing I'm still confused on is if other people in my party can scan their bands and have the pictures go into the account. I know my MB is linked to MM but I'm not sure about everyone elses. I need to research that a bit further.

Hey Mo! Hope you got your excel sheet going. Dan loves those things too and is always trying to get me to put everything on excel. I prefer to do it by hand. Makes me happy.

I know!!!...Christmas decoration removal this late...:crazy2: But our daughter and granddaughters were here until I think Jan 4th, then Dan and I went to Virginia (with her) to have Christmas with Jennifer and fam, then we came back to celebrate my Mom's 85th birthday and Dan's Mom's 91st birthday. It just happened that way this year. And I always put so much up, it takes days to get it down and everything else where it needs to be, let alone cleaning everywhere. Whew! It's exhausting!

I posted on D~'s report, but thought I'd let you know that Jennifer isn't going to have that surgery yet. She is doing super well with the PT and they think she can put it off for a year or two. That way her kids will be older and it will be a lot easier for her as well as them. It is answered prayer for sure!! Thanks for all the support and prayers. It means so much!

Hey, there hasn't been a Stevie story lately. He's been slacking. I guess he's pacing himself. :rotfl:

I hope Tom wins a couple of the ADR choices so he doesn't get discourage from getting involved in the planning. As far as the regular dining, it works really well for Dan and I. We share breakfast and lunch and then each have the TS meal. We bring Cliff bars and other snacks too, but rarely need them. We usually have most of our snack credits left as well. We know all the CS places that give huge portions!;) Of course growing kids need to eat a lot, so that would be different. And if we have lunch at BOG we both get a meal there. They are soooo yummy!

TaTa for now, and you go out there and have great day, you hear?!

Ok....so much I want to comment on, but its so hard on my phone :(

I totally understand it's a real PITA to do it on the phone...

Being Sept it shouldn't be bad in regards to crowds. I'm not too worried about it.
I like to take the EARLIEST flight out of Chicago. i don't think i could wait to go.. :hyper:

I agree we will most likely hit ground get to the resort dump the stuff off and go to MK. spend as much time as we see it. have dinner at Ohana's watch the fireworks on the beach :beach: i may have to partake in a drink of some sort.. get a good rest for the craziness to begin!

Then we just walk around and soak it up until about 3pm.
At that point we hop on the monorail and go over to Epcot. I usually have a dinner ADR at Via Napoli, but maybe the princess meal at Akershus would be good (much cheaper than CRT) for you guys.

with all the excitement and then the overload of sensations i think everyone is going to be DEAD tired on arrival day so sticking around the resort might be best? :confused3

Arriving at Epcot around 3:30-4:00 gives us a little time to ride the short line rides like SSE and Figment on our way over to WS.
We can usually get a couple countries in before our ADR.

We did Epcot on our first day in 2011 with Nicole.. Food and Wine festival. we had a good time!!

Then, when staying at the Poly, we would head back and watch the Water Parade and Wishes from the beach before heading to bed.
Semi early night after traveling, but we get a lot accomplished and get to say "We've Arrived!" to my two favorite parks :)

:cloud9: it's just amazing isn't it???

Ok. I will comment on the rest when I get to a real computer because multi-quote doesn't work well on this little phone ;)

:surfweb: take your time i will be here!!!

I really don't have anything to contribute as far as advice or wisdom...I think my brain is in cruise mode. :boat: :rotfl2: I am very excited that REAL planning is finally happening for you! :cool1: You all are going to have the BEST TIME!!!! Oh, the craziness that will ensue...gonna be a great TR for sure! popcorn::

I know after the the cancellation of last year this just seems like a dream and it's going to be taken away from me again!!! So i am working extra hard to keep this alive!!!
we really will have an amazing time... Chris LOVES to have fun with his kids. Jen too. but she often jokes that Chris is her biggest kid! :rotfl2: between all of us Disney better be on their toes!!!

Good news!

On the Disney side of things Raina and I moved our date up a week.....lol
24sept-5oct still 12 days, 11nights.

I heard!!! Congrats! pretty soon you will be overlapping on our trip!!! :lmao:

Somewhere you can take your puter and not look out of place , anymore I would say any coffee shop or restaurant like Applebees business men are always on their comps in there.

That's a very good idea! somewhere that has free Wifi helps.. :hyper:

Hahahaha :rotfl2:Mo, you know I am not good with the quotes, but we almost did move it up far enough to overlap with you!!! The reason we were going when we were in October is because I get a 4 day weekend every five weeks because of the way we do our days off, so my 4-day in Sept is the first weekend.......but food and wine is too big a draw for me so we are just not going to plan our trip around my 4 day weekend......so no DISmeet for us

When the kids were younger and traveled with us, MK was always our first park.

Now that we don't go with the boys anymore and just the two of us, we usually don't hit a park on arrival day. We check into the resort, relax, go to DTD if we are up to it. Then it all depends on park hours, etc., as to what we do the next day.

With the girls trip, that also depends on park hours. This coming May/June trip, we will probably hit DTD for dinner or just hang at the resort (we don't land until around 5 p.m.) and we will hit MK our first day.

As to these:

Sci-fi Enjoy...as long as I don't get the pasta ;)
Ohana Sorry...was not a fan at all
Be our Guest We've had three really good meals here
Cindy's table Never done
Tusker house which meal? We like breakfast, just wish service was a tad better

I like the idea of a Disney jar for coins. I doubt very much your kids will notice it missing the day before you leave.

Yes, it definitely took the place of PP+. I went to preorder PP+ for the trip and it was gone! Had I checked a day or two earlier I could have still ordered it but instead ended up going with Memory Maker. You still get all of the ride photos and dining photos that were included on PP+.

AHH!!! I figured as much. Thanks for updating me.. I need to look into this!!!

As far as I can tell the main differences are:
1. You use your Magic Band instead of having to pick up a card when you get to the parks. Like I said before I did get a card in the mail and am not sure why I need it.

I may keep the card just in case. you never know what can happen.. I am absolutely scared poopless that i am going to lose pictures...

2. You can order MM up to 3 days before your trip and still get the discounted rate. PP+ had to be ordered at least 2 weeks ahead of time.

This is good news.. i will end up ordering asap.. with my OCD. need all my stuff perfectly in line...

3. It doesn't sound like you can get a CD mailed to you any more. You link MM to your MDE account and download the pictures directly from there. Good thing is, you can download more than once which will be nice for me because I can let other family members download them directly so I don't have to e-mail to them.

Ohh i don't like this AT ALL.. i like the CD!!! I need 3 external hard drives.... to back up my back up...

The main thing I'm still confused on is if other people in my party can scan their bands and have the pictures go into the account. I know my MB is linked to MM but I'm not sure about everyone elses. I need to research that a bit further.

I need to know this too.. as Jen and i will be sharing the PP.. thinking since she and I are linked this won't be a problem???

Hey Mo! Hope you got your excel sheet going. Dan loves those things too and is always trying to get me to put everything on excel. I prefer to do it by hand. Makes me happy.

oh i am a excel fool... i have excels, word docs, handwritten, power points..
I have issues...

Well i guess that this is OK.. and forgiven.. :rotfl2: that is exhausting!!!

Please post away. That's good news! she will continue to stay in my prayers along with all those on the boards who need them.

Hey, there hasn't been a Stevie story lately. He's been slacking. I guess he's pacing himself. :rotfl:

Oh stevie.. I should have video taped him yesterday!!! He was hell on wheels!
As soon as he was let out of his cage he did his warrior dance EVERYWHERE he attacked the vacuum, he chased the dogs.. he chased us.. he jumped on the kids as they were doing homework. He was OUT OF HIS EVER LOVIN MIND!!
Matt accidentally spilled some of his litter so we had to vacuum it up... Stevie jumped all over the vacuum. With the vacuum hose i was rubbing him.. he actually liked it!!! Crazy little rat.. When opening the closet doors he went INSANE to get into them.. :sad2: He is entertaining!!!

I hope Tom wins a couple of the ADR choices so he doesn't get discourage from getting involved in the planning.

Oh he won... We are going to Ohana's Scifi and Tusker House.. that's all he gets.
Oh Tom will never be discouraged about Disney.. He loves it as much as any of us!!!

The sad thing is I KNOW ALL THIS! yet i cannot wrap my head around knowing this is enough! in 2011 we had so many snack credits left including 2 QS left over... So why can't i remember this?!?!?

TaTa for now, and you go out there and have great day, you hear?!

I hope you have a wonderful day as well!!!!

I have some planning to get done...

:rolleyes2

I wonder how many more times your going to change your minds! :rotfl2:
That's the fun of planning! change your mind OVER AND OVER! F&W is something you need to see.. So i get it. ::yes::

When the kids were younger and traveled with us, MK was always our first park.

this seems to be the #1 answer! Mk wins by a landslide! :cool1:

Now that we don't go with the boys anymore and just the two of us, we usually don't hit a park on arrival day. We check into the resort, relax, go to DTD if we are up to it. Then it all depends on park hours, etc., as to what we do the next day.

you DO go with the girls though!!! Don't forget my kids are always in need or more aunts and uncles! :rolleyes1

With the girls trip, that also depends on park hours. This coming May/June trip, we will probably hit DTD for dinner or just hang at the resort (we don't land until around 5 p.m.) and we will hit MK our first day.

we have 8 days.. So one will be DTD i am up for Raglan Road for that day... ::yes::

As to these:

Sci-fi Enjoy...as long as I don't get the pasta ;)

So sorry about you not liking the pasta! the last time we were there it was DELISH! i just get so tired of burgers!!!

Ohana Sorry...was not a fan at all

Tom won't let go of it.. I can't stand having to shell the shrimp...

Be our Guest We've had three really good meals here

This is the one i am most excited about.. I HOPE i get in there for dinner!!!

Cindy's table Never done

i'll let ya know!!!

Tusker house which meal? We like breakfast, just wish service was a tad better

Breakfast only.. the other foods kinda scare me..

I like the idea of a Disney jar for coins. I doubt very much your kids will notice it missing the day before you leave.

I don't think so either!!! So i just need the time to make the jar.. hopefully i don't work job #2 today and i can do it!
