And I've enjoyed reading everyone else's. We are going to be in Disney 9/13-9/19 And staying at ASMo. My children are sold on the enormous Dalmatians!

We've been showing and breeding Shar-Pei, I owned an English Springer and a Short haired Pointer that I showed in conformation, juniors and dabbled in obedience and agility. I currently have a Lab that I want to making an obedience career with and try out agility, flyball and treiball classes but I really want to do therapy work with him!

That's quite a career!
I have only shown in obedience, rally, dabbled in agility, bred Shelties, and goldens. We did have a therapy group a long time ago. So sad... Everything your going to do with the Lab sounds like a TON of fun!

So i did promise an update yesterday.. or this morning.. Whichever...

Yesterday morning was a PITA to get to work. it was a total white out roads were INSANE. took me an hour to get to work when it should only take 20 minutes.
My truck was sliding everywhere... it was horrid..

so after my last update i called Disney...

and talked



and talked



for 2 hours.. calling several different numbers the good part is every time i was on hold i got to listen to the best music ever..

the end news? not much.. need to sit with Jen and SOON. we may change our dates... we may change the end of our trip.. it is something we need to sit and talk this trip out.. which is coming up pretty quickly..

What i DO know and what is in CONCRETE is we are going.. and we are still staying at the poly!


Today it is very very tomorrow? worse..
next week? Even worse. i am rather tired of the snow and COLD!!! I want Disney.. NOW!!!
Our computers went down today and didn't come back until about 11.. hence my disappearance!

we did take a chapter out of Oopsi's idea book and made the Disney Fund jars!!! They are cute and we had fun doing it.. I did NOT take pictures... I KNOW I KNOW! i will today...
Today is another crazy day.. I MUST go and get my blood work done for my Thyroid meds.. that's first on the list.

Thanks to Ariana i did get my pictures off my olympus camera. So i should be able to finish my Christmas story and new years. good times.

I hear you on the cold although you have it way worse than we do down here. My thin southern blood is not liking this cold weather at all! I certainly don't miss the snow that you are getting!

I don't really have an opinion on the Pirates Cruise vs Dessert Party as I've never done either. Personally I'd probably choose the Dessert Party because I love to eat dessert and watch Wishes.

You are welcome for the help with the camera. It cracks me up that I helped the camera expert when I'm lucky I can figure out my point and shoot!

My little Remy has become quite the neighborhood terror. He likes to go after the 100 pound lab/boxer mix that lives next door to us. He stands by the fence and taunts Vader all the time. Vader is still pretty much a puppy and has now put a big hole in the fence. We've had to devise a schedule with the neighbors so that the dogs go out at separate times! Who knew adopting a little 5 pound dog could cause so much trouble.

Your dates might change? Will they cross mine? I'm glad you are still staying at the Poly. We got our first resort booked for our September trip on Monday; I have to wait for resort number two until February 19 when the 7-month window opens for my friend since it is not her home resort.

I've never done either. I think the kids would love the pirates cruise from what I've read. As for the dessert party, we've been playing with the idea for years, and hav enever done. I've heard pro and con on it (the con being people run up to the railing and then those behind can't see).

I'm with you. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO over winter. I really don't know if I can survive two more of these winters after this year before we move.

Ugh! i cannot believe the records we are breaking this year.. the snow is just getting out of hand. But the COLD?!?! We haven't seen a temp ABOVE 0 in i don't know how long..
today is another freezing day. But our building is so off my office is about 100 and the front of the office is about 20.. so i sweat so the front doesn't freeze..
What temps are you getting?! Cold is cold. i am sure whatever your getting "feels" the same.

You are!!! I didn't even know my laptop had a SD card slot. I don't normally USE a point and shoot.. it's always my DSLR which i have to plug into my computer.. Who knew! SO A BIG THANK YOU!!! your the Point and shoot know all!!!

this is ALWAYS the case with little dogs! they have that napoleon complex!!! Big dogs think they are little and little dogs are bullies!!!

I was going to say do the desert party because you've already done so much for the kids and you deserve to have something that you would enjoy. They will enjoy it too. Are you kidding? Unlimited sweets until you barf??? A kid's dream come true. But you already decided, so that's good.

Lots of changes coming, huh? Sounds intriguing. Best get it figured out before ADR day rolls around. It will be here before you know it.

Oh my, the three of you are getting together again?? Is Chicago ready for that?? That should be EPIC. Do they have lots of shoes in Chicago? D~ loves shoes you know.

I hope you're able to get to and from work better now. Bad roads are the pits. And when the cold and weather is really getting to me I try to think about people who don't have a warm coat, a nice warm house or a car that's reliable. I am not booking a package deal. when talking to Disney they will only sell 7 day park tickets. which means i would have to buy days.. Are you OUT of your mind?!? No way.. so we were going to drop a couple of days..
No way. Don't wanna.

So we are coming up with the following:

1. Down days No park. which sounds CRAZY to some. Honestly is needed!!! paying a large price for the poly so why not ENJOY the resort more!!!

2. Do not know the flight times yet. Usually take the earliest flight out, i want to get there ASAP! No waiting around! gotta get to Disney!!!
Like to take the last flight out. again more Disney time. BUT is that really a full park day? no not really.

3. ADD more days and jump over to universal.

Dessert Party V/S Pirate Cruise.​

You all had wonderful suggestions. but i think i made up my mind..
If the kids had a vote. (Which they DO NOT since they know nothing about this trip.) They would definitely vote the pirate cruise. It does look really really cool.. But it is SO far away from the castle and the shows it's NOT in your face over the top. the Dessert party is. Photography is going to be tough with this i would have to use my zoom lens. It does not have a stability function, with it being on a boat i just do not see this coming out in picture favor... More like my drunken pictures like this:

Not gonna happen... I worked hard to become a better photographer to allow this to happen.

Then Suzi brought up some fantastic thoughts.. She is WICKED SMART..
more park time, the ease of getting out of the park if we choose to do so.

another factor? Yes we are going for the kids birthday... this is going to be my 40 birthday this year. All i would like is my wide angel lens and a trip to Disney. So maybe i will use the party as my birthday present!!!
Selfish right?!? I justify this as saying the rest of the trip is totally centered on the kids. ONE night for myself.. which i NEVER EVER do..

this is just my advice. But if your already doing the party you just might want to try something else! try all new stuff! then if you really like everything you did then you can do it again the next time you go? Probably a lot cheaper too. IF you didn't have the party down already i would totally tell you to skip the dessert party and RUN to MNSSHP!!! Since your already going once i would suggest doing something else too!
