Wasting away again in Loserville-(all welcome to grab an adult beverage and come in)

Thanks for all the advice and support guys. I'll keep you updated.

Nat - Pregnancy really isn't that bad. It's the delivery I'm concerned about. I'm going to :lovestruc the Epideral Man.

I think the thing to remember is EVERYONE is different. Some love being pregnant while others hate it. Some people have difficult pregnancies but easy deliveries (me), there really is no rhyme or reason. I try to stand clear of the "advice train" because it seems that everyone has some story to tell and how things "should" be done. My only words of comfort are to take everything with a grain of salt because it may or may not apply to you and only you can determine what does apply and how to handle it. This is true of pregnancy advise and parenting advise. Other than hitting the crack pipe while your pregnant while chugging a beer or beating your children, there is no "wrong" way. I have told many a friend who is concerned about too much of something or they are craving something.....having kids is a crapshot and you have the luck of the draw. If some drug addict can use and abuse her whole pregnancy and have a "normal" child then that extra cup of coffee isn't going to make a big difference. It helps to put things into perspective a little some times.

Motherhood is an experience I personally would not give up. It isn't for everyone and I respect that. I actually commend those that know it is not for them and make a conscious decision to not have them. It is a pain I will never forget nor will I candy coat it by saying "you forget it" - you don't!, but having said that I would go through it again in a heartbeat! It is the single most rewarding "job" I have ever had and an amazing process to see how a child is the size of something basically unseeable and the progression to feeling those little kicks, seeing the ultrasounds, and then a newborn babe. It is unbelievable how much your child changes in that 1st year from a cute little lump of love to an interactive human being that responds to your voice, touch, etc.

Malibu, I was afraid of delivering too - I think it's completely normal to be concerned with how "this thing" is going to get out of there  :scared1:  Think Aliens nightmares :scared1: Bottom line it's coming out 1 way or another and everyone handles it differently. My step-sister is probably the biggest baby I know and she went through labor and delivery without any pain killers at all! Only you can know what your body is handling at that moment and be the one to request/demand pain meds and do not let anyone tell you differently! Go in with a plan and make sure your physician and SO knows what it is. My request was to get as far along as possible w/o meds but that I was not opposed to them. Some people do not want them, others do the second they feel a contraction. To each their own and whatever makes you have the best birthing experience possible. You know we'll all be cheering you on when the time comes!

No, it means she has to come to YOUR house and do the ironing! :thumbsup2

:rotfl:

Nooooooo! It's just if you have to do it, it should be on an icky day already.

I don't think so!:snooty:

Well, this is good news, because I don't "iron". I will take a couple of wrinkles out of a shirt if I REALLY want to wear it, but those "ironing days" like my mom used to do are an enigma to me...

Queenie - if we don't hear from you soon we'll send in reinforcements for the bathroom.

I made it out alive! And the bathroom is at a Cleancom 2, and I am happy to have it at that!! The stories I could tell you about that bathroom!!:rotfl:

I wanted to name my DS10 after the anethesiologist..but he had a really ethnic name that we are not members of , so it would have been very weird.

I also cut the grass y'all!! So now I am going to curl up in front of the TV with Judge Judy and a bag of cookies...TTFN

I didn't read back very far, but I'm confused enough to ask...is nataliela pregnant? Congratulations!

I havent read back at all. Hop everyone is well today.

I went to the beach. Its a lot hotter than I thought. I look like a lobster. Im going to shower before it hurts to bad to .

Oh boy! Got a call from the school nurse. Katie got mad at her teachers, so she punched herself in the mouth.:headache:

They were trying to get her to sign "swings" on the playground. She didn't want to. Instead she made a fist, and bopped herself in the mouth. Her lip or gums were bleeding.

No loose teeth that we can tell.

I was just about to say the same thing. I told him I was going to name my son after him, then for the next hour, I kept asking the nurse to pronounce his name. Needless to say, I couldn't even come close, so I just said "forget it" - I'll use the name I already picked. :lmao:

Oh, no. I hope she's ok. At first, I thought you were going to say that she punched her teachers in the mouth.

Not as far as I know....I think she's now afraid to get pregnant! Fun practicing though ;)

owww, so sorry tk, poor baby. Those baaaaaad pooppooheads!!!

Luna's still looking for a shoe to poop in....;)

Aw, thanks guys.

I think she's okay. She's calmed down and still at school.

Kate, get yourself some Aloe vera for the burn. Always helps me. No drinking tonight, but some aspirin should help you sleep tonight.

I never iron. Either stuff it back in the dryer with a wet washcloth or just wash the darned thing again. I did recently learn a cool trick from my DH though. Don't stuff the wadded up clothes from the washer to the dryer. Shake out the wet stuff before sticking it in the dryer. Waaaaaaaaaaay less wrinkles this way.

WARNING!! very long multi quoting response ahead

I made the final 30 at my Wheel of Fortune auditions yesterday!!! :yay:
:)

CONGRATS!!! You look adorable, I hope you get on!

Well, I FAILED the 1 hour test. Now I go back on Friday morning for the 3 hour fasting test. I can't eat anything after 10 pm on Thursday, have to be there at 8 Friday morning for them to take my "fasting" blood glucose level, drink twice as much sweet stuff, then sit there for 3 hours while they prick my finger every hour.

IAHD - I'm sorry you had to go thru that. I'm really hoping my 3 hour test comes back OK, I hate needles.

I gained 7 lbs this month.

I don't know anything about pregnancy tests and stuff, but I hope that you pass the next time. And isn't gaining weight for the baby good? Don't worry, Im sure you still look great!

It must be in the air again cause #2DS woke me up at 2:30 this morning :sad2:
I'm already bored again today.
I've already started cleaning the house and doing the laundry :scared:

Hey no cleaning! I did that last night, didn't that cover all us losers?

Katie cut her toe on something last night. Came downstairs, limping and bloody. We slapped some Neosporin on it and a Hello Kitty band-aid.

Goofy girl-chick peeled off the band-aid, then pulled the little cut flap of skin back. She half skinned her own big toe. She's Neosporined up again and re-Hello Kitty band-aided up (for the second time this morning...grrrrr). I hope they aren't playing kickball again today.

Hope her toe gets better! My mom still buys me character band-aids, and im 21. Actually, I think she just came home with pink army ones!

I had a bad night too. I have been up since a little after 3. Ugh. I am going to need a nap today. I fell into a deep sleep and woke myself up snoring LOL.

My water heater broke AGAIN. So no hot water. The thing is a POS.

My son also left his cell in a pants pocket and it got washed. It has survived one washing I am not sure about the second time though. My mom was ticked off because she stopped checking his pockets when he said it was on the island.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Why isnt anyone sleeping!? I actually had a good sleeep for the first time in a while last night. Hope you get some rest tonight, and hope you get the water heater thingy all fixed. Cold showers are NOT fun.

DS2 is still sick, but he just asked for some 'nana slices. I'm giving him a few and we'll see what happens. Fingers crossed that I'm not scrubbing banana puke out of the carpet in an hour.

'Nanas are good for sick tummys! They are on the B.R.A.T. diet for upset stomachs Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, Toast. Hope hes feeling better!

Can you come clean my brothers bathroom? Its beyond skeevy. My mom douses that sucker with bleach every week and he messes it up in one day.

AND you mowed the lawn! Im not allowed near the mower....I tried once. Ill just leave it at that.

Oh boy! Got a call from the school nurse. Katie got mad at her teachers, so she punched herself in the mouth.:headache:

She's not having a good day, huh? Hope she comes home ok.

Thanks! I have aloe vera with liodcaine in it...its a little gift from God. I took some motrin before, I dont have any aspirin. Does that do the same thing?

Tell your husband thanks for the washer tip! I'll have to try that.

I slathered my entire body in aloe vera w/ lidocaine, and ponds cold cream. Im rather slippery at the moment. I got almost all my reading done, have to finish up a little more now before my 5:10 class. Then more hw tonight....only 2 more weeks though! I'll be in and out for the rest of the day, so :wave2:

TurboKitty, I hope your DD is ok. Mouth injuries freak the heck outta me. I have nightmares about losing teeth. Boy, first her toe now her mouth. Maybe we need some full body armour for that little girl.;)

Fraggle, ow, sunburn..not much to say that you don't already know. I got fooled by the sun last Sunday. It was not really hot out, sun came and went. I had sprayed my DS's really well, but missed DS10's knee area. He was really red there after 3 hours out in the sun. And he was standing up most of the time, so how did the sun even get there? He has really a long baggy swim suit. So I had to beat myself up all that night for being a really neglectful mommy.

I was so tired after cleaning the bathroom and mowing the lawn that after sitting there watching Judge Judy and into Judge Joe Brown, I fell asleep! Good thing Rachel Ray has a really annoying voice that grates up and down my back, because when she came on I woke up so I could go get the boys from school.

I still have 4 loads of laundry to fold. I don't know if I can do it, I may have to got sit down some more..

We have baseball practice tonight, and DS10's coach always goes for longer than an hour. I think I am going to sit in my car and take a nap or read my book instead of sitting out with the gnats. You guys wouldn't believe the sand gnats here. they come out when it is pleasant enough for you to want to be out. If it's too cold, hot or windy they dont' come out. They bite and they are worse than mosquitoes.. Sometimes bug spray works, most of the time it doesn't. Last night DH said he was ready to move after fishing with cubscouts for 2 hours in the gnats. I'm itching just thinking about them. And they can't spray them, like the do mosquitoes.

TK--hope katie is ok--and less frustrated!

As far as ironing goes, I do not iron anything of my own. Unfortunately DH has to wear nice clothes to work and sometimes they need ironed. I always buy wrinkle-free stuff so that helps. I use the 'wrinkle care' setting on my dryer which tumbles the clothes around every few minutes after the dryer is done so they don't sit and wrinkle(it works ok, but not for 2 days or anything:rolleyes1 ) DH has enough clothes that I only iron every other monthh or so. He also is willing to do his own, but since his time is limited and I'd rather he do other things(like clean up after dinner and help run the kids places) I usually and the ironer. I just hate it and let it build up to where I have to iron like 20+ pieces:headache:

Guess what? It feels like summer today! So much so that I have on shorts and a tshirt and my Mickey Toe Ring:cool1: It's not hot but its warm and sunny and just about perfect.:cool1:

Gotta go get DD and take her to the HS for swim practice. I'll be around later, I'm sure.

Ahh--we called it the GA wave! Every time we were outside we had to constantly wave our hands in front of our faces to keep the gnats away!

Ya, ya, I'm goin'!
