Happy Friday everyone! I have a rousing round of laundry planned for the day, and a chicken I need to cook.

I also stopped my the library and picked up a copy of 'Stop Dressing your Six Year Old Like A Skank", so we'll just see how the laundry and cooking goes...(reading a good book is my absolute favorite thing to do.)

Oh, BTW. Do you remember me telling you guys that DH cleaned the vacuum cleaner really good and I was afraid to use it and get it dirty again? I just realized it is still sitting in exactly the same spot-that was what , two weeks ago?- and it is still SPOTLESS. Shows how much I vacuumm and trust me, it needs it.

The jet lag is killing me. I have not caught up on this thread but I have somewhere else.

The boys have vacation today and it's raining. It looks like it's a movie kind of day. Hopefully I can convince them to take a nap too.

ok just had a minor heart attack, DS5 is sick and was watching an On Demand show (I On Demand) and it stopped and Mickey went poof and it gave this weird computer message. I was like OH NO no TV on a sick day . but luckily the regular TV shows are on now and he is happily watching Diego and the ibuprofen had kicked in. Crisis averted

So far me and DH are ok.

DS10 has cough variant asthma and I think he had a flare up. Plus his allergies too. I have a call into the allergist to see if there is anything mroe I should do.

I just got off the phone with peds about DS5 and he has a fever and he tells me his heart hurts( I think he means his chest). The peds think it is a viral bronchial thing and want me to do the ibruprofen and maybe some Mucinex later. And rest. I am hoping he will go for some popsicles later. Once the iburprofen wears off he is a clingy sicky poor baby. So they want some tylenol thrown in there too.

Hey.

I've been reading when I can, but I haven't been able to post much. DS2 is finally getting better, so that's the good news. I had the appt with the pediatric neurologist yesterday. DS6 has been diagnosed with epilepsy. That's a big scary word to me, but it really just means that there is an area of his brain that is prone to seizures. There is still a good chance he could outgrow it. I'm still trying to absorb it, so I'll admit I'm in a bit of a shell shocked state.

I feel like I just drop in, give medical updates, and then leave. I hope that will change soon. I want to be able to contribute as much as I read. It feels like I'm learning about all of you, but I haven't had the opportunity to tell you much about me. Sigh.

please dont worry about not contributing! We're all here thinking of you and hoping that everything works out.

It's cold and rainy here today. DS just made us some of those cinnamon rolls in a can for our brunch. I got a brisket in the crock pot for dinner since I don't know if I'll get a chance to cook. Gotta go the van at some point after DH gets home from work. Hopefully the hail didn't get it (I don't think we ended up getting any here).

Oh and Natalie, I saw you posting on that milk of magnesia thread. Have you tried it yet? Im hoping it will work, but I havent had a chance to go buy some yet. I trust the opinion of a fellow loser!

Hawaii was great. If I didn't have kids I would move there in nothing flat. Milk and ice cream are the most expensive things I saw there. Milk was on sale for 2 for $10.00, regularly $7.25 a gallon. Ice cream for 1/2 gallon of just store brand was $8.25. Can you imagine? I would probably be so skinny after being there for a year.

The weather was perfect. The ocean was so blue. I'm pretty sure that would make up for no ice cream. They have shave ice so maybe I could learn to like that better.

You got sunburned? Poor thing, that is terrible. My sister got fried while on vacation too. Nothing really helped her except for time.

Im starting at 11:00 . Really, I am though. yep, im suburned very very very very badly. A trip to the dr. later, and I have some sort of special burn cream and strong painkillers. I look like a tomato.

Hooray for the doctor's office. I hope you feel better soon. My sister looked like a candy cane where her swimsuit was. We went snorkeling and forgot to reapply the sunscreen. I was burned but not nearly as bad as her. I had the sunglass racoon face. It was pretty funny.
