I sent the sick boy to swim practice. Methinks he wasn't really that sick. Turns out a friend of his was 'sick' today, too. They thought they'd get online and play Runescape together. Yeah--not happening. So he got bored and decided practice would earn him brownie points.

Oh and its 72 degrees outside . Every window in the house is open and I am lovin' it! I just know we haven't seen the last of winter but it wouldn't hurt my feelings if we had.....

Yay! Pass the booze! Survived the preschool field trip to Disney on Ice. It was awesome! Kid enjoyed it too.

The DH returns tonight--I got a garbled vm message about him playing blackjack last night (he's in Vegas and it was his b-day) and being up by $125 but that it didn't last long... Too bad, I would've added it to my DL trip fund!

I'm home for the day today. I forgot how much fun it is to waste time on the internet. Maybe I should quit my job....

My oldest boy woke up in the middle of the night 2 nights ago and ate my whole entire box of Samoas. So much for no one but me liking them. So far the youngest one hasn't eaten any more Thin Mints. He is the one home sick though so maybe he just isn't feeling well.

I know a few hidden pressure points that can help stand the kids right up. Not that I have ever used them.....

Not sure what to think of the computer. It never powered down to standby, so I thought it wasn't working. However, it stayed closed in my bag for 3 hours, then I was working on it for another hour, and the battery still showed 50 percent. Evidently it powered down to some degree, 'cause I haven't seen a laptop with an 8-hour battery.

As long as it works, though, so can I.

The weather is beautiful here today. I'm guessing there won't be much Dissing going on. Everyone will be getting out of the house and getting over their cabin fever.

Boo to tax crap! Ours are already done but the state refund still isn't here. We filed electronically so it's supposed to be faster.

We had rain last night and it's still a little cool out. But the good news is, it melted all the snow.

Ours is a little more complicated than grabbing our W-2's and figuring it out.

I have to make sure the checkbook is balanced, everything is entered into the computer, and then turn it all over to an accountant.

My sister is the accountant so she did it all for us.

She does coropate taxes that are really hard and complicated. She does ours for fun. LOL!

I can't imagine having to do as much crap as you probably have to.

I'll tell my wife how good she has it, but I think I'll say it from across the room where I'm well out of reach!

We brought a new Lab mix puppy home yesterday. Poor thing is dealing with all these changes, then we had rain, hail, and thunder storms all night. Our oldest DD slept in the living room with her all night, we could hear her talking to the puppy whenever she woke up crying. She did pretty good, though. We slept most of the night, though she woke up at 6:00 and wouldn't go back to sleep. Now let the chewing and the potty training begin!

7 hours of driving (thru intermittent rain) for a 2-hour meeting. I might have gotten what I wanted out of it, but not exactly the "greenest" day I have ever had.

Only if you have to spend the day with them....like a Sat/Sun or a sick day. At least it's a school day so you can throw them on the bus instead Hopefully things turn around before they get out this afternoon

Boring day today ~ normal work schedule till 3pm then home to do the whole momicab for play rehearsals, cook supper, homework, etc. Steaks on the grill tonight with some sort of side....

The new puppy slept all night last night- and no accidents in the kennel. Somehow, after 3 nights, I don't think we're done with the nighttime wake-ups, but it was good to sleep all night just once.
