My son and three of his friends are coming down to Washington for the Sabres vs. Capitals game on April 7th. They are staying at the Hyatt Regency Capital Hill (one of the guys works for Hyatt and got them a good deal).
It appears they are only about 1/2 mile to the Verizon Arena and within walking distance, etc. What they need is information on where to park (other than the Hyatt which is $33 plus tax/night) and transportation ideas instead of walking, if any.
Also, they are 4 young guys (all around 23), and need places to eat and drink in that immediate area. Of course, they are looking for something affordable, etc. Does anyone have any recommendations? They are very much the cheap beer and finger foods guys not the full sit-down dinner group.
Any other recommendations on "must see or do" items in the immediate area? None of them have been to Washington before. They are driving down from Buffalo and will arrive in DC late morning. The game I believe is an afternoon game. They will leave the next morning to head to Philadelphia to see the next Sabres game there on Sunday before heading back to Buffalo.
Any help, tips, suggestions, etc. would be greatly appreciated!
