So we have some friends moving up their cause their dad is in the military (navy i think):sad1: but my mom said we might go up their this summer or next spring break (i hope this summer :)). Is there anything extreamly cool or fun or whatever i should see/do when i go up there? I am just soooo excited to see them again!

I went on a class trip in 6th grade. Its such an amazing city, I want to go back so badly

One pretty cool thing was when we went to the park behind the White House, think its Laffyette Park:confused3. All of the museums were pretty neat too

Make sure you go up in the Washington Monument. It's a really nice view. Another thing is the American History Museum. It's really cool to see things like the original Oscar the Grouch and one of the pairs of ruby slippers they used in the Wizard of Oz.

American University!

haha but seriously, the museums are really cool!

The museums are the best things really other than the monuments.

Frier-Sackler Museum, National Portrait Gallery, and the National Gallery of Art are the best museums and they're all free. The best museum cafeterias are in the Indian History Museum and the National gallery of Art

i realy really liked the holocaust museum.

IDK if this is as awesome for people that aren't nerds like myself, but I lovveeeed going to the National Archives both times I went. It's way cool to see the constitution and the declaration!
Also, eat at Hard Rock Cafe.
And go to the Washington Monument.
All the Smithsonians are pretty neat.
And if you can get a tour of the White House, by all means, do. But the visitor center is just completely lamesauce, don't bother.
The Holocaust Museum is certainly interesting, but it's also graphic and heartbreaking. If you want to simply have fun, don't go there, but if you want to be enlightened, go.
