Was Veteran's Day Crowded?

Now that I'm back from a week at DL, I can start the best part of any trip: planning. With APs, I won't be able to return the same third week of November next year, but I really like this month for SoCal weather. The previous week will be Veteran's Day week. In 2015 Vet's Day will fall on Wednesday.

I'm just wondering if anyone was there that day (Tuesday) or that week of this month, and how were the crowds. The crowds we had were crazy low outside of the AP event evening, Friday evening and the weekend. I'm sure Vet's week isn't that slow... Thanks.

We arrived there on the Saturday, 11/8 and left on 11/11 (Veterans Day) mid afternoon. It seemed to get more crowded toward Veterans day, with that likely the busiest day of the trip.

In general ANY time people have time off from school or work it is going to be more crowded.

We went the Sunday before Veteran's Day last year (we were locals, so it was just a day), and we were pleasantly surprised. It was crowded, but it was doable. We got there at opening and were able to ride a LOT within the first couple hours, before the crowds picked up. During the more crowded times, we just rode smaller rides, ate, walked around, etc. Overall, we had a fantastic day, and we had been super worried about crowds beforehand.

And that was when Veteran's Day was a 3 day weekend, so the crowds were heavier. Now, a lot of schools are getting JUST Veteran's Day off - I'm a teacher and many of the schools around me had school Monday, but not Tuesday. If most schools have only Wed off, I would imagine there will be lots of locals on the Wednesday, but the rest of the week may not be so terrible....that's just my guess though.
