was there a cruise that went to germany and russia

We will be on the Baltic cruise on NCL this May! I’m so excited.
I am tempted to book the Escape in August. I'll admit I'm a little concerned about NCL's future. They're also not great at refunds from what I've read. It is a huge saving over DCL and a newer ship.

I am travel agent. My advice to you is to just put the down payment on the cruise and nothing else until you have to make final payment. That way if they do go under or you need to request a refund, you will only be out a couple of hundred dollars instead of thousands. August is a long way off so your final payment won’t be due till around May. We should have a much better idea about how the cruise lines are faring by then. Also, NCL has put a lot of money into updating their ships with hospital grade air filters and other various protocols. They’ve secured funding through Goldman Saks for the next year as of a couple of months ago. They can sell older ships off if they still need capital to operate. I think NCL will be fine. I cancelled a cruise to Greece for this November back in June and I got my money back within weeks. I only put down the down payment though so that may have helped. Some people feel like they are getting taken by NCL because they’re not reading their contracts that say if you choose to take the Peace of Mind credit for the future cruise shift Instead of a refund, your money becomes a credit and is no longer refundable. The rules are very clear, so that’s not NCLs fault that people aren’t doing their due diligence. It’s taking up to three months for ALL cruise lines to refund money because of the sheer amount of people doing it at one time. I don’t think it’s anything sinister. I hope this helps you make a decision. I say go for it! :)

That is very good advice. NCl is 2500 less for a balcony vs a inside room on Disney. plus the pick two. The deposit is only 250.i feel like I can hold off booking NCl because the prices tend to go down. The price difference would pay for another cruise on Disney.
Ive never cruised on NCL What do you do about laundry? I know they don’t have self laundry like Disney, but will they wash your clothes for a reasonable price.

Yes! Once our daughter grew up a little we branched out to NCL because we wanted to go to Europe and couldn’t afford the DCL prices for it. NCL is great because they have things that are better geared for preteens and teenagers. Don’t get me wrong, we still love Disney. But when it comes to the more expensive exotic cruises we have switched to NCL. NCL does not have customer used laundry facilities like Disney does. If the cruise is 7 days or longer they will usually run a special like fill the bag for $20. The bag they give you can fit about 4 days worth of clothing for a family of three. People have suggested bringing packing tape to line the bag with so it doesn’t rip. Haha. I love hacks like that! The clothes come back very neatly folded in a pretty wicker basket wrapped in in tissue paper. Let me know if I can answer any other questions. I’ve been on the Jade, Epic, Joy, Sky, personally, but have access to info about the other ships. I’m excited to go on the Escape in May!

They have some amazing iteneraries on the jade, but I feel like escape is the best fit for a 16 year old. I could spend 20 dollars a day on laundry and not come close to Disney prices. I plan on packing light we’re going to spend a week or so wandering around Germany before the cruise.
